Total War: THREE KINGDOMS — ancient China's Three Kingdoms era on your PC
The year is 190 AD. The Han dynasty is collapsing under the weight of intrigue, rebellion and the ambitions of its warlords. Total War: THREE KINGDOMS by Creative Assembly drops you into one of the most dramatic periods of Chinese history — the Three Kingdoms era, when the empire fractured into dozens of rival factions and the fate of the land was decided not only by armies, but by the character of the people leading them. You take command of one of these legendary figures and guide them from a regional ruler toward the imperial throne.
This entry stands apart from the rest of the series: for the first time, Total War is built so deeply around personalities. Every warlord is more than a faceless portrait — they are heroes with their own temperament, relationships and ambitions. An ally can turn traitor, and yesterday's enemy can become a loyal vassal.
Two souls in one game: Romance and Records
Total War: THREE KINGDOMS offers two campaign modes. Romance Mode is inspired by the classic novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms: warlords here are near-superheroes who can decide a duel single-handedly and turn the tide of a battle. Records Mode is more grounded and historical: generals are strong but mortal, and victory belongs to whoever commands their armies best. You choose which fantasy of ancient China you want to live — an epic legend or a stern chronicle.
Diplomacy unlike anything before in the series
The diplomacy system here is one of the most refined in Total War's history. You can forge alliances, trade territories, demand tribute, arrange marriages, set neighbours against each other and weave intrigue without ever drawing a sword. The system is transparent: the game honestly shows what each faction wants and which deal it is willing to accept. This turns the campaign map into a game of chess where diplomacy can be more dangerous than any siege.
Warlord duels and spectacular battles
Total War's signature battles are enriched with duels: two legendary heroes can face off one-on-one in the middle of a fight, and the outcome can demoralise an entire army. Cavalry, archers, spearmen and siege engines are all still here, but the heroes set the tone: Liu Bei, Cao Cao, Sun Jian and dozens of other real historical figures lead troops into battle.
How you receive Total War: THREE KINGDOMS as a gift
We deliver the game as a full Steam Gift, not a key. That means there is nothing to activate: our bot adds you as a friend, sends the gift, and leaves your friends list once it is accepted. Important — you don't need to accept the friend request yourself; everything happens from the bot's side. Steam Guard is not required for this method. All you need is for your account region to match the gift region, and for the game to not already be in your Steam library (a duplicate gift won't be accepted).
Delivery is smooth and unhurried: you simply accept the incoming gift in the Steam client and confirm adding it to your library. After that, Total War: THREE KINGDOMS stays on your account forever.
Who Total War: THREE KINGDOMS is for
If you enjoy large-scale strategy with a deep campaign, this is one of the best entry points into the series — a friendly interface and clear mechanics meet genuine strategic depth. A fan of ancient and historical settings? Take a look at Total War: PHARAOH, set in the twilight of the Bronze Age, and A Total War Saga: TROY, which retells the legendary Trojan War. And fans of grand strategy about building civilizations should check out Humankind.
Why a gift instead of a key
The Steam Gift format is convenient because you receive the game straight into your library with no fiddling with code entry or key registration. You don't have to hunt for where to paste an activation — the game simply appears on your account once you accept the gift. That's especially valuable if you want to get Total War: THREE KINGDOMS quickly and without extra steps.
