Total War: WARHAMMER III — the finale of the fantasy trilogy
Total War: WARHAMMER III is the closing chapter of Creative Assembly's fantasy trilogy (published by Sega), released on 17 February 2022. It's the signature "two games in one" Total War experience: deep turn-based strategy on a vast campaign map combined with spectacular real-time battles where thousands of units can clash at once. The third entry wraps up the Order-versus-Chaos storyline and, for the first time, drags you straight into the Realms of Chaos — chasing the soul of a dying bear-god, Ursun.
What the game is about
The "Realms of Chaos" story campaign is a race between factions to be first through the portals into the domains of the four Dark Gods — Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch and Slaanesh. Each Realm is its own challenge with its own rules, and between them you build economy, diplomacy and armies on the world map. There's also the enormous "Immortal Empires" sandbox, which brings together factions from all three trilogy games if you own them.
Who you can play
The base Total War: WARHAMMER III includes the launch races of the third game:
- Kislev — a grim northern realm of war bears, winged lancers and ice magic;
- Grand Cathay — a dragon empire built around yin-yang harmony and the Great Bastion;
- Daemons of Chaos — a flexible faction you can mix into a custom legion for any of the Dark Gods;
- Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, Slaanesh — four mono-god factions, each with a distinct style;
- Ogre Kingdoms — nomadic mercenary camps that live on war and food.
What you're buying
This listing is the full base version of Total War: WARHAMMER III for Steam, delivered as a Steam Gift. Story DLC and expansions
Total War: WARHAMMER III is actively supported: since launch it has received major expansions and Lords packs — Shadows of Change, Thrones of Decay, Omens of Destruction and more, with further sets like Lords of the End Times on the horizon. Note that these DLC are not part of the base game and are purchased separately on Steam. The base version is enough to play all of the third game's launch races and run the Realms of Chaos campaign.
How you receive the gift
Delivery is handled by our bot. You provide your Steam friend invite link and your account region, place the order, and the bot adds itself to your friends, sends the gift (usually within a couple of minutes) and leaves your friends list once it's delivered. You don't need to accept the friend request manually, and Steam Guard is not required either. All you do is hit "Accept Gift" in Steam.
Region and library matter
Before buying, check two things. First: your Steam account region must match the gift region — otherwise Steam won't let you accept it. Second: Total War: WARHAMMER III must not already be in the recipient account's library, since a gift can't be accepted for a game you already own. If you've never played Total War: WARHAMMER before, the third game is a solid entry point: it stands on its own, has the most polished battle engine of the trilogy, reworked siege mechanics and the clearest tutorials in the series. And if you already own the first and second games, the base of the third unlocks the gigantic combined Immortal Empires sandbox, where every race of the trilogy wages war on a single map — dozens of legendary lords, hundreds of units and essentially the entire Old World under one campaign.
Platform notes
The game launched on Windows and later got macOS and Linux versions. Steam Deck playability depends on the specific build and updates — large turn-based strategies with huge battles are always demanding, so use the recommended system requirements on the game's Steam page as your guide. Once you accept the gift, the game updates and patches through Steam exactly like any purchased copy.
