The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition โ Steam Gift
The second chapter in the saga of Geralt of Rivia โ a dark, mature RPG from Polish studio CD Projekt RED. Picking up after the first game, Geralt is dragged into a bloody plot around the murder of kings: conspiracies, the war in the North, choices with no clean answers, and consequences that ripple through the whole story. There are no simply "good" or "evil" sides here โ only people with their own agendas, and you decide whose hands shape history. We sell this game as a Steam Gift: after payment our bot sends The Witcher 2 straight to your Steam account.
What the Enhanced Edition is and why it's the one to get
The Enhanced Edition launched on April 17, 2012 and replaced the original The Witcher 2 from May 17, 2011 โ it's not a separate DLC but a full, reworked version of the game. It already includes everything: the base campaign plus over 10 GB of new content โ roughly four hours of extra gameplay, new story scenes, an arena mode, a reworked tutorial, and 36 minutes of cinematics, including a new intro by Platige Image. Buying the Enhanced Edition means you get the complete game in one package โ nothing to buy on top, and there is no separate "base version" sold apart from it.
Why players love The Witcher 2
- A branching story. Act two literally splits into two completely different paths depending on a single decision at the end of act one โ different locations, quests and allies. To see it all, people replay the game.
- Combat that rewards preparation. You can't just swing a sword: traps, bombs, Witcher signs, blade oils and potions brewed before the fight all matter. Higher difficulties punish carelessness.
- A grown-up tone. Politics, betrayals and grey-area morality โ none of the fairy-tale naivety.
- Atmosphere and visuals. Even years later, Flotsam, Vergen and Loc Muinne look striking thanks to the in-house REDengine.
How the options on this page differ
The game itself is identical across every option โ the Enhanced Edition. The only difference is the Steam gift region and the license type:
- Main region (wide coverage) โ fits most accounts across many countries.
- Russia & CIS โ for accounts set to the RU/CIS region.
- Australia (AU) โ for Australian accounts.
- Commercial License โ a special variant for public/commercial display (internet cafรฉs and the like). A regular player does NOT need it โ for home play pick a normal regional option.
Choose the option that matches your Steam account region: the gift region must match the account region, otherwise Steam will refuse the gift.
How the gift is delivered
This is a Steam Gift, not a key, so the flow is a little different. You provide your Steam friend invite link and your account region. Our bot then adds itself to your friends, sends the gift, and automatically removes itself once delivery is done โ you don't have to accept anything manually. The whole thing usually takes a couple of minutes after checkout. Steam Guard is not required. One key condition: the game must NOT already be in your account's library โ Steam won't let you accept a gift for a game you already own.
System requirements and platforms
The Witcher 2 EE on Steam is the Windows (PC) build. It runs great on modern hardware, supports a controller, and works well through Proton on Steam Deck and Linux, though officially it's a Windows release. Demanding in its day, on today's PCs it launches without trouble at max settings.
Where to start and where to go next
If you're new to Andrzej Sapkowski's world, The Witcher 2 is a great entry point: the plot makes sense even without playing the first game, and the writing and direction already approach what made the series beloved by millions. After it, the natural next step is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt โ a vast open-world RPG that became a genre benchmark. For the roots of the saga, check The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, where it all began. And if CD Projekt RED's signature style grabs you, look at Cyberpunk 2077 from the same studio.
Common doubts before buying
"Is this the full game or an add-on?" โ the full game; the Enhanced Edition contains everything. "Do I need the first game?" โ no, the second stands on its own. "What if the bot can't add me?" โ it's almost always closed friend-request settings or an expired invite link: fix your privacy settings, send a fresh link, and we'll resend the gift. Buying from Brawl Games means our bot handles delivery, not a faceless machine.
