Cyrodiil and the Oblivion Crisis: what this game is about
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered drops you into Cyrodiil, the imperial heartland of Tamriel, right as gates to the Deadlands start tearing open across the province. Behind it all is the Daedric Prince Mehrunes Dagon, and the only hope of stopping him is Martin Septim, the last of the imperial bloodline, who you have to protect on his way to the Temple of Akatosh. You play an escaped prisoner from the Imperial Prison whose path leads all the way to the title of Champion of Cyrodiil. It's the same iconic 2006 story, rebuilt from the ground up while keeping the original quests, dialogue, and world logic intact. Beyond the main plot, Cyrodiil still has its guilds β Fighters, Mages, Thieves, and the Dark Brotherhood β each running its own storyline that has nothing to do with Mehrunes Dagon, so the open world here is a lot more than just saving the empire.
Rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5: the visual overhaul
Technically, Oblivion Remastered is a hybrid: visuals and UI now run on Unreal Engine 5, while the underlying gameplay logic still runs on a modified version of the original engine. In practice that means new character models, reworked lighting, dynamic weather and time-of-day cycles, plus 4K textures and a 60fps target on hardware that can push it. Weapon, spell, and movement animations have all been redone too β it's still recognizably Cyrodiil, just rendered completely differently. The audio got attention as well: some lines were re-recorded, and the new takes are mixed in alongside the original 2006 voice cast, giving characters more vocal variety than before.
Leveling, virtue points, and yes β sprint is finally here
The leveling system got simplified: on level-up you spend virtue points across attributes like Strength, Intelligence, Willpower, Agility, Speed, Endurance, Personality, and Luck, without the old min-max routine of juggling skill uses before resting. The remaster also added sprinting for the first time β something the 2006 original never had β which sounds small but noticeably changes the pace of exploring Cyrodiil. Combat and movement physics got touch-ups as well.
What's included: Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine, and the original add-ons
The key unlocks the full game: the main campaign plus the two major story expansions, Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine, along with the original themed content packs released for the game. There's no stripped-down base version here that nickel-and-dimes you piece by piece β everything you need for a full playthrough is already in.
Why grab an Oblivion Remastered key from us
The price on the product page is usually lower than paying store rates directly with an unfavorable currency conversion, and you can pay however's convenient for you. There's no gray-market trickery involved β just a code that activates through the official Steam client.
How to buy the key β step by step
Place the order on our site, enter your email in the "code delivery email" field, and pay however suits you. The code lands in your inbox shortly after payment and is also visible in your order in your account. From there, open Steam, find "Activate a Product on Steam," and enter the code β the game shows up in your library.
Region: how key activation actually works
Keys on this listing are region-wide, meaning there's no hard lock to a specific activation country. To be upfront: Steam officially restricts activation in Crimea and a handful of sanctioned regions β that's a platform rule, not a policy of ours. In our experience it usually still goes through there, but nobody can promise it will work every single time.
Oblivion Remastered Key Safety: No Passwords
Getting and activating the key never requires access to your Steam account, Steam Guard, or a password β we never ask for any of it. All you do is enter the code yourself through Steam's standard activation menu.
Refunds: what the video policy means
If a code fails to activate for some reason, a refund is only possible under one condition: you have a single, unedited screen recording β one continuous take from the moment of payment through the activation attempt, with no cuts or pauses. That recording is the only objective evidence that the problem was with the code itself. Without it, we're unfortunately not able to process a refund.
