Buy Squad as a Steam Gift on Brawl Games
Squad is a tactical infantry-and-vehicle shooter played across huge maps, where coordination beats reflexes. Here's what the game actually is, how the Steam gift delivery works, and what to check before you pick a lot. This format is a perfect fit if you are tired of lone-wolf firefights and want to feel what real teamwork in Squad is like.
What Squad is about: tactical infantry combat without arcade respawns
Squad is made by the Canadian studio Offworld Industries, whose core team grew out of the Project Reality mod for Battlefield 2 β which explains the focus on realism rather than run-and-gun pacing. The game spent years in Steam Early Access before its full release on September 23, 2020, and today runs on Unreal Engine 5. Matches can field up to 50 players per side split into 9-person squads: a squad leader places spawn points and builds a forward operating base (FOB), a medic revives the wounded, and any squad leader can step up as commander to call in UAV recon and artillery support over the radio. You navigate by compass and voice comms rather than a minimap enemy blip, which is part of why firefights in Squad tend to happen at ranges of hundreds of meters instead of the close-quarters pace of more arcade shooters.
Factions and modes: who you're actually fighting in Squad
The roster spans over a dozen factions grouped into three rough sides: BLUFOR (the US Army, US Marine Corps, British, Canadian and Australian armies, the Armed Forces of Ukraine), REDFOR (Russian Ground and Airborne Forces, the PLA and PLA Navy Marine Corps), and INDFOR β irregular forces such as insurgents, militia, PMC operators, and a few smaller national armies. Which factions show up depends on the map and mode. Modes range from Advance and Secure and Random AAS to Invasion, Insurgency, Destruction, Territory Control, and Skirmish, swinging between held frontlines and small-scale covert objectives.
Vehicles and logistics: armor, helicopters, and keeping FOBs supplied
Combat in Squad isn't limited to infantry β tanks, APCs, helicopters, and boats each need separate driver and gunner crews, and armor damage is tracked by the exact spot and angle a round hits. Forward bases and a team's vehicle pool run on logistics: trucks haul building materials and ammunition, and without steady supply runs there's nothing to build a FOB from. On maps spanning several square kilometers, losing your bearings without radio comms and map markers is easier than actually finding the enemy.
Why grab a Squad Steam gift here instead of elsewhere
The gift format puts the game straight onto your existing Steam account, alongside your current friends list, with no new profile to set up. You get the full Squad license β every faction and update live at the time of purchase β and if you've got an active promo code, it applies right at checkout. There's no separate deluxe edition of Squad β it's one base game that includes every faction, map, and mode currently live, with no paid add-on tier.
How to redeem the Squad gift, step by step
After payment, a bot adds you as a Steam friend and sends the gift, or we hand you an invite link instead. If it's a link, open it, go to Steam β Friends β accept the request, and Squad shows up in your account's gifts. This usually happens shortly after payment, though we can't promise an exact time since it depends on the queue and on Steam itself. No sign-up anywhere besides your Brawl Games account is required.
Region lots for Squad: picking the right one
Every Squad gift lot is tied to a specific account region, and the storefront currency shown on that lot's card is what tells you which region it is. Match it against your own Steam account's region before buying β that's what decides whether Steam will let the gift through.
If the region is wrong or you already own the game
If the lot's region doesn't match your account, Steam declines the gift and the payment goes back to your site balance, ready to use on the correct order. The same applies if Squad is already sitting in your library: Steam won't let a second copy through as a gift, and the money is refunded to your balance rather than lost.
Security on delivery: no Steam Guard changes, no passwords
You don't need to touch Steam Guard β leave it on as usual, it doesn't interfere with receiving the gift. We never ask for your account password at any step: the whole handoff runs through a friend invite or a direct link, with nobody logging into your profile.
Refunds if activation fails
If the Squad gift doesn't activate for some reason, a refund is only possible under one condition β an unedited, single continuous screen recording from the moment of payment through the failed activation attempt, with no cuts, no splicing, and no pauses. Outside of that, we can't process a refund for a failed activation.
Brawl Games and tactical military shooters: how we operate
We've been selling digital goods to gamers since 2023, accepting Russian bank cards, SBP transfers, and crypto, with no hidden extra steps. Squad isn't the only military title in the catalog, so if tactical combat is your thing, it's worth checking the neighboring listings too. The order itself is placed straight from your account with no extra steps, and a promo code can be applied during checkout if you have one.
More games for tactical-minded players
If Squad's squad-level realism is your thing, Men of War, a real-time military strategy game about commanding a company in combat, is worth a look. Or if you just need Steam wallet funds for later purchases, there's the Steam gift card top-up.
