What this game is
Developed by Heliocentric Studios and published by Team17, Rogue Heroes launched on 23 February 2021. It is an action-adventure with roguelite elements: dungeons are procedurally generated, but there is no permadeath. Die, and you return to the town of Intervayle, spend the crystals you collected on upgrading your hero and the town itself, then head back out stronger. Progress stays smooth — every run into the ruins brings you closer to defeating the Titans, even when a single attempt ends badly.
At the start you pick one of several hero classes — from the straightforward Knight to a Mage, Ranger or sneaky Thief — each with its own combat feel and skills. The town is yours to rebuild: forge, magic guild, farm — upgrades unlock new weapons, spells and permanent bonuses shared by the whole party.
Co-op is the real draw
The headline feature of Rogue Heroes is shared play for up to four heroes. Where most Zelda-likes leave you on your own, here you can clear dungeons with friends: solve puzzles with more hands, cover each other during boss fights and pool your loot into the shared town. Both online and local play are supported, so a co-op evening is easier to put together than you might think.

Dungeons, classes and upgrades
Tasos has four large dungeons, each with its own theme, enemies and Titan boss. Inside, rooms are assembled procedurally from hand-built pieces, so the layout is fresh every time without turning into incoherent mush. You hunt for keys, solve block puzzles, hit levers, and crack open chests full of crystals and runes for upgrades. Six hero classes play very differently: the Knight tanks hits up close, the Mage burns crowds at range, the Ranger picks off corridors, and the Thief leans on speed and stealth. As you upgrade the town new abilities open up, and the very same run can be approached in completely different ways.
The town of Intervayle — your base
Between runs, everything revolves around the town of Intervayle. With the crystals you gather you build and improve structures: the forge hands out new weapons and armor, the mage guild grants spells, and the farm and shops provide consumables and permanent bonuses. Upgrades are shared, so in co-op one player's investment helps the whole party. This is the "just one more run" hook: even after a failed attempt you carry resources home and grow a little stronger.
