REMNANT II — Steam gift for the co-op soulslike shooter by Gunfire Games

REMNANT II is a third-person soulslike shooter with procedurally assembled worlds, released on July 25, 2023. Gunfire Games took the formula of the first game and pushed it much further: you jump between shattered worlds through the World Stone, gun down cathedral-sized bosses, and every run hands you a slightly different layout of areas, events, and rewards. Here the purchase is a Steam gift — we send the game straight to your library through a bot, and all you do is accept it.

What exactly is REMNANT II

In short, it's a "soulslike with guns." You dodge, read boss patterns, and carve out damage windows, but instead of a sword you carry a shotgun, a rifle, and weapons that mutate around your build. The signature feature is the archetype (class) system — Hunter, Alchemist, Challenger, Gunslinger, and more — and you can run two at once. Because of that, the same run feels completely different for two players, and replayability rests on procedural generation: worlds, dungeons, bosses, and even quests get reshuffled from one playthrough to the next.

You can play solo, but REMNANT II truly opens up in co-op for up to three players. Progress is tracked by the host, so it's easy to keep a steady trio and farm together. The gift lands on your Steam account as a full copy — no limitations compared to buying it from the store yourself.

Editions: Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate — what's the difference

The catalog has three editions of the base game plus a separate add-on bundle. Here's what you actually pay for:

• Standard Edition — the clean base game. Full campaign, all three starting worlds, co-op, the archetype system. If you just want the game without extras, this is your pick.
• Deluxe Edition — the base game plus an early unlock for three armor sets from Remnant: From the Ashes. These are cosmetic throwbacks to the first game, a nice bonus for fans but with little impact on raw power.
• Ultimate Edition — the full package: base game, the three From the Ashes armor sets, a Survival Pack (starter XP elixirs, ammo, iron, and scrap so you begin prepared) and, most importantly, the DLC Bundle with all three story expansions. Effectively the "everything included" option.

Ultimate also once granted 3 days of early access before launch — but that was a one-off July 2023 launch perk and no longer applies. You buy Ultimate for the content, not for an early start.

DLC Bundle: three full expansions

A separate catalog entry is the DLC Bundle. It's a set of three story expansions, and as of 2026 all three are out and fully available:

• The Awakened King (November 2023) — returns to the world of Losomn, adds the Ritualist archetype, a new storyline, dungeons, bosses, and weapons.
• The Forgotten Kingdom (April 2024) — the world of Yaesha, the Invoker archetype, a new story, and a fresh set of items.
• The Dark Horizon (September 2024) — the world of N'Erud, the Warden archetype, the latest story chapter with new bosses and gear.

🔴 Important: the DLC Bundle is add-on content, not a standalone game. To play it, your account already needs the base REMNANT II. If you don't own the base, grab an edition first (Standard/Deluxe/Ultimate), and only then does the DLC Bundle make sense. The Ultimate Edition already includes these three expansions, so there's no need to buy them separately.

How Steam gift delivery works

There are no activation keys here — the game arrives as an actual Steam gift. The mechanic is simple: you leave a friend invite link and tell us your Steam account region, and our bot adds itself, sends the gift, then leaves your friend list after delivery. You don't need to accept the friend request manually, and Steam Guard isn't required. Usually the whole thing takes a couple of minutes after checkout, though we don't promise a hard timer — rare delays happen, as with any service like this.

Two conditions, without which Steam simply won't let the gift through: your account region must match the gift region, and you must not already own the game (or that specific edition) in your library — a gift can't be accepted onto a game you already have. So at checkout, carefully pick the variant for your region.

Where to play and can your rig handle it

This is the PC version for Steam, playable on a regular PC and on Steam Deck (mind the graphics settings — the game is demanding, especially in dense scenes). REMNANT II has no cross-play with consoles; co-op is formed within a single platform, so Steam plays with Steam. If you're planning a shared run with friends, make sure everyone owns the game on Steam specifically.
