Life is Strange Remastered Collection — two stories about choice, time and friendship in one Steam key
Life is Strange Remastered Collection bundles two narrative adventures that introduced a whole generation to choice-driven storytelling: the original Life is Strange and its prequel Life is Strange: Before the Storm. The Remastered Collection is a bundle of two complete games, not a single chapter:
- Life is Strange Remastered — the updated story of Max Caulfield, a photography student at Blackwell Academy in the small town of Arcadia Bay. Max suddenly discovers she can rewind time, turning every conversation and decision into an experiment: you can replay a line, save someone, change how events unfold — but every choice has consequences. - Life is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered — a prequel about Chloe Price set three years before the first game. There's no time rewind here; instead of a superpower you get sharp-tongued "backtalk" exchanges and a grieving teenage rebel who meets the mysterious Rachel Amber. It's a story about friendship, loss, and holding on to the people who matter.
Both games are slow-burn third-person narrative adventures: you explore locations, talk to characters, make decisions, and watch them echo later in the story. Combat and action set-pieces aren't the point — people, relationships and the weight of choice are.
How the remaster differs from the original
"Remastered" isn't just a sticker on the box here. The re-release reworks character and environment visuals, noticeably upgrades animation, and — most important for a game like this — facial performance. In the original, faces sometimes showed the engine's age; in the remaster characters are driven by full facial motion capture, so the scenes that live on a glance and a pause read far more naturally. Gameplay-wise these are the same stories with the same branching paths — the presentation changed, not the script.
What order to play in
Chronologically, Before the Storm happens before the original, but the prequel was made afterward and occasionally leans on knowing the first game's story. If the series is new to you, it's nicer to start with Life is Strange Remastered (Max's story) and then move to Before the Storm to see Chloe before it all. If you've already finished the original and want more backstory, starting with the prequel works too. The pack gives you both games at once, so the order is yours to pick.
This is a Steam key: what you get and how to activate
The product is a global Steam activation key. After you place the order you receive a code. The rest is simple: open Steam, click "Add a game" in the bottom-left → "Activate a Product on Steam", enter the key, and the Remastered Collection appears in your library.
