What the game is about

The core survival mechanic in Dune: Awakening is hydration. Water is the most precious resource on Arrakis, and most of your early decisions revolve around how to find it, store it and not lose it under the scorching sun. Alongside that you harvest spice — the very substance the whole Known Universe fights over this planet for. Spice grants power, but overuse leads to addiction and hallucinations, so every gram is a trade-off between strength and risk.

Looming over all of it is the desert's greatest threat — the sandworms. True to the lore, you can't kill them; you can only run. Spend too long on open sand and either a young one rises to swallow you, or a giant ring-mouthed beast erupts and wipes out whatever you built nearby. So crossing the dunes is always a matter of rhythm and nerve.

Building and factions

Dune: Awakening isn't just survival — it's an MMO sandbox shared by hundreds of players in one world. You build your base piece by piece, in the Atreides or Harkonnen style or other available architecture, set up crafting stations and spice refineries, and watch your influence grow. Sooner or later you choose a side: House Atreides or House Harkonnen — two poles of Arrakis politics with their own interests, missions and rivalry. That's where the second kind of survival begins — no longer against thirst and worms, but against other people's ambitions.

You get the full base version of Dune: Awakening here — enough to play with all of the game's core systems. No other game or add-on is required to run it. The Deluxe and Ultimate editions (with early access, extra cosmetic packs and digital bonuses) are not part of this gift — this is the standard version of the game.

How delivery works

The game is delivered as a Steam gift through our bot. We need two things from you: your Steam friend invite link (s.team/p/...) and your Steam account region. After payment the bot adds itself to your friends, sends the gift, and automatically leaves your friends list once delivery is done — you don't need to accept anything. Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes. Steam Guard is not required to receive the gift.

Region and key conditions

The gift is available in 47 regions. There's one key condition: your Steam account region must match the gift region, otherwise Steam simply won't let you accept it. The second: Dune: Awakening must not already be in that account's library — Steam won't accept a gift for a game you already own. PvE and PvP: two sides of Arrakis

The world of Dune: Awakening is split by the nature of its zones. There are spaces where you settle in calmly, farm resources, build and grow your base in relative safety. And there's the Deep Desert and contested territory, where the interests of factions and other players collide — that's where you go for spice and rare resources, knowing a run-in with another squad can end in a fight. This duality is what keeps the game compelling: first you survive against the planet, then against everyone already living on it.

Launch and performance

The game runs on Unreal Engine 5, so it's worth checking the system requirements on the Steam page before buying. Funcom released a benchmark and a separate character creator ahead of launch, so you can stress-test your hardware before you even start. This is a full Steam release: library, cloud saves and updates arrive just like any other game on your account.
