DREDGE β the fishing trip that turns your blood cold
DREDGE looks like a cozy fishing sim: you pilot a small boat between the islands of a backwater archipelago, cast your nets, sell the catch and slowly upgrade your vessel. It's a trap. The moment the sun goes down, fog thickens over the water, the wrong kind of fish ends up in your hold, and you start catching glimpses of things that shouldn't be there. This is slow-burn cosmic horror in the spirit of Lovecraft, hidden inside an addictive catch-sell-upgrade loop. Buy DREDGE from us and you get the game as a Steam gift β you choose between the plain game or an edition with DLC included.
What the game is and why it grips you
By day you're busy with something pleasant and clear: hauling in dozens of fish species, exploring five distinct regions of the archipelago, running errands for the locals and kitting out your boat with new holds, engines, rods and deep-water gear. By night the tone shifts. Darkness brings the best catches but also stirs things best left alone: your fisherman suffers panic and sleep deprivation, and the water fills with hallucinations, phantom rocks and shapes that weren't there in daylight. The real mechanic is managing your own sanity β greed pulls you out into the dark after rare hauls, while common sense tells you to make port before nightfall.
A mysterious stranger tasks you with dredging up strange relics from the seabed, and the deeper you get, the clearer it becomes that something is very wrong with this place β and with you. DREDGE tells its story through implication, unsettling discoveries and atmosphere rather than blunt cutscenes, which is exactly why it lingers.
The editions and what's inside
Every option on this page includes the full base game β these are not upgrades that require a copy you already own. The only difference is the DLC:
- Standard Edition β the plain DREDGE game, no add-ons. The ideal entry point if you want to play the core story first.
- Digital Deluxe Edition β the base game plus the Blackstone Key mini-DLC, which unlocks a workshop on Blackstone Isle with extra gear (including a unique engine).
- Complete Edition β the base game and all story DLC at once: Blackstone Key, The Pale Reach and The Iron Rig. The fullest bundle of content in a single gift.
The DLC: what each one adds
Blackstone Key is a small bonus add-on: it opens a workshop on Blackstone Isle and a couple of unique pieces of equipment. The Pale Reach (released 16 November 2023) takes you to an ice-locked northern region with a new questline, new fish and cold-water gear. The Iron Rig (released 15 August 2024) is the largest expansion: the Ironhaven Corporation sets up a deep-sea drilling operation, and you build your own floating rig while uncovering what they're really after. If you want all of that at once, that's the Complete Edition.
How we deliver the gift
DREDGE reaches you as a Steam Gift via our bot. You provide your Steam friend invite link and your account region, and the rest is automatic: the bot adds itself as your friend, sends the gift (usually within a couple of minutes) and removes itself once delivered. You don't need to accept the friend request manually, and Steam Guard is not required. All you do is click βAccept Giftβ β and the game is in your library for good, just like a normal purchase.
Region and the one rule to remember
A Steam gift is region-bound: your Steam account region must match the gift region, otherwise Steam won't let you accept it. And the rule people forget most often: the receiving account must not already own the game β Steam simply won't accept a gift for a title you already have. If you only want DLC for a DREDGE you already own, the gift route won't work; in that case grab the Complete Edition on a clean account. On the checkout page pick the option for your region and make sure friend requests are allowed in your profile.

If you love the uneasy atmosphere of the sea and isolation, check out Subnautica β survival in an alien ocean with the same chill of the unknown in its depths. If you're after the calm boat routine of catching and upgrading, Dave the Diver fits, and for more noir maritime dread in a Lovecraftian key there's the grim navigation of Sunless Sea.
Why buy from us
You get a genuine copy of DREDGE on Steam, bound to your own account, with no subscriptions or temporary licenses. Delivery runs through a trusted bot, usually takes just minutes, and before paying you choose the edition and enter your region yourself β so it's hard to pick the wrong version. DREDGE is one of those rare games that hook you on the first evening and don't let go until the credits; now's the time to meet the archipelago.
