Borderlands 3 is Gearbox Software and 2K's gloriously chaotic looter shooter, where the real star is your gun collection. Released in 2019, it doubles down on the series formula: cel-shaded comic-book art, dark humor and literally billions of procedurally generated weapons, each with its own stats, elements and personality. A shotgun might grow legs and chase enemies; a pistol might shout insults at them. You pick one of four new Vault Hunters, build out a skill tree to fit your playstyle, and wage war on the Calypso Twins — a pair of psychotic streamers raising a cult across the galaxy.

Meet the Vault Hunters

Borderlands 3 has four playable characters, and each one plays completely differently:

• FL4K — a Beastmaster who roams with pets and leans on stealth and critical hits; perfect for solo runs.
• Moze — summons the Iron Bear mech and floods the screen with explosions and bullets.

You can play the whole campaign as any of them — builds and combat feel change dramatically, so the game easily holds up to multiple playthroughs.

What the editions include

We offer two options, so pick the one that fits your plans:

• Standard (base game) — the main story campaign, all four Vault Hunters, co-op and the base version's endgame content. Story DLCs are not included here and can be bought later.
• Super Deluxe Edition — the base game plus the Season Pass and a bundle of bonus cosmetics. The Season Pass includes four story add-ons: "Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot," "Guns, Love, and Tentacles," "Bounty of Blood" and "Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck," along with the Multiverse Final Form cosmetic packs and the Butt Stallion goodies (weapon skin, trinket and grenade mod). Separately there's the Deluxe bonus: the Retro, Neon and Gearbox packs, the Toy Box weapons pack, and XP/loot boost mods.

If you want the full story and extras up front, go Super Deluxe — it's better value than buying the Season Pass separately. If you only plan to play the main campaign and try the game out, Standard is enough. Note that Super Deluxe already contains the base game, so you don't need to buy it separately.

How we deliver the gift

Delivery runs through a Steam Gift bot and is built to need as little from you as possible:

• You provide a friend invite link (s.team/p/... format) and the region of your Steam account.

What to check before buying

Two conditions are the most common reasons Steam might refuse a gift, so check them in advance:

• Region matches. Your Steam account region must match the gift region, otherwise Steam won't let you accept it. If you're unsure, check your account region in Steam settings.
• The game isn't in the library yet. Steam won't let you accept a gift for a game the account already owns. Buy for an account that doesn't already have Borderlands 3.
• Friend requests are open. Your profile settings must allow adding friends, or the bot won't be able to add you.

Co-op and platform

Borderlands 3 shines in a group: online co-op for up to four players and split-screen for two on a single PC. Loot is instanced per player, so there's no squabbling over legendaries. This is the Steam version for PC (Windows); the game supports controllers and runs well on Steam Deck. No third-party launchers are needed — everything works from your Steam library.
