Battlefield 4 Premium Edition: the whole war in one Steam gift

Battlefield 4 is DICE's large-scale military shooter, released in 2013 and still filling servers today. It's more than firefights: collapsing skyscrapers, sinking ships, a bursting dam that floods half the map, and battles for up to 64 players packed with vehicles, from jeeps to attack helicopters. The Frostbite 3 engine turns the environment into an active part of the fight — the cover you hid behind a minute ago can fold up along with the building. The Premium Edition gives you all of it at once: the game itself and the full expansion lineup, with no add-on purchases or subscriptions.

What's in the Premium Edition

This is the most complete edition of Battlefield 4. Inside you get the base game and the Premium pack with all five expansions:

• China Rising — fight for dominance across the vast Chinese mainland with new vehicles and stationary dirt bikes.
• Second Assault — four legendary Battlefield 3 maps rebuilt in Frostbite 3 with full Levolution destruction.
• Naval Strike — naval combat, attack boats and the new Carrier Assault mode in the South China Sea.
• Dragon's Teeth — brutal close-quarters urban warfare in a dense megacity, with the new Chain Link mode.
• Final Stand — the climax of the expansion arc: experimental weapons and vehicles on snowy testing grounds.

Together that's 20 extra maps, new modes, weapons, gadgets and vehicles, plus a set of Battlepacks. You won't need to buy expansions one by one — the Premium Edition covers the game's entire content.

Why Battlefield 4 still holds up

The series' signature is the "Battlefield moment", when your plan collapses both literally and figuratively. Knock out the support of the Xiang skyscraper on Siege of Shanghai and the whole tower comes down, redrawing the frontline. Four-player squads, class-based tactics (Assault, Engineer, Medic, Recon) and coordinated tank and helicopter crews keep the game alive years later. The single-player campaign follows squad Tombstone from Shanghai to Singapore, but the real depth lives in large-map Conquest multiplayer.

Key region and account conditions

Steam only accepts a gift under two conditions. First, your Steam account region must match the gift's region, so enter your region accurately. Second, Battlefield 4 must not already be in that account's library: Steam won't let you accept a gift for a game you already own, and that's the most common reason a gift fails. If something goes wrong, it's usually closed friend requests or an expired invite link — send a fresh link and we'll retry the delivery.

System requirements and platform

Battlefield 4 runs on Windows, launches through Steam and the EA app (formerly Origin) — on first start the game asks you to link or sign in to an EA account, which is normal. It's not especially demanding by today's standards and runs comfortably on modern mid-range machines, even at high settings on big maps.

Classes, teamwork and vehicles

Battlefield 4 is about coordination, not lone-wolf frags. Four classes define your role: Assault heals and revives teammates, Engineer repairs vehicles and burns down enemy armor, Support drops ammo and lays down suppressing fire, and Recon works at range and spots targets. A smart four-player squad on Conquest swings a match far more often than the single best sniper. On top of that sits the vehicle layer: tanks, IFVs, attack and transport helicopters, jets, fast attack boats. A solid tank crew with an engineer on repairs can hold a flag for ages, while a pilot-gunner duo in a chopper becomes a nightmare for infantry. That's exactly why servers stay alive years later — there's always something new to master and room to grow.
