About the game

Age of Empires Mobile is a real-time mobile strategy game from the legendary Microsoft franchise. Build your civilization, recruit historical heroes, raise armies, and wage massive alliance wars against players worldwide.

The game has TWO premium currencies โ€” Apex Coins and Empire Coins. They do NOT convert: Apex for donation bundles, Empire Coins for speed-ups, VIP and other purchases. Apex rate is fixed: 1 USD = 100 Apex Coins.
The developer allows top-ups from a new device or IP only 24โ€“48 h after the last purchase. For regulars we keep the same device, so delays are rare. But if you recently topped up elsewhere or from another device โ€” your first order may be delayed until the cooldown clears.
Available items are processed automatically. Any issues will be resolved starting from 9:00 MSK.

FAQ

Buy Apex Coins and Empire Coins for Age of Empires Mobile: packs, Midasbuy and Governor ID top-up

Age of Empires Mobile launched on 17 October 2024 and quickly settled into the same pocket of the market as Rise of Kingdoms and Lords Mobile โ€” a 4X strategy MMO with alliance warfare, hero gacha and a recognisable historical brand. Development sits with TiMi Studio Group, the same Tencent studio behind Honor of Kings and Call of Duty: Mobile, working under licence from World's Edge and Xbox Game Studios; the storefront publisher is Tencent's Proxima Beta. The PC Edition went live in early 2026 on Steam and the Microsoft Store with day-one PC Game Pass access and full cross-save, so one Governor ID covers iOS, Android and desktop. The economy runs on two premium currencies that look similar but do very different jobs: Apex Coins fund Midasbuy bundles and special offers, while Empire Coins are the in-game premium currency that drives speed-ups, resources and VIP.

  • Apex Coins for exclusive bundles and passes on Midasbuy and the in-game special offers shop
  • Empire Coins for build, research and training speed-ups plus VIP progression
  • First-purchase x2 on every denomination โ€” independent for Apex and Empire
  • Hero Medals route the gacha: 10 personal medals guarantee a hero unlock
  • Top-up by Governor ID and Empire server, no login needed

Apex Coins vs Empire Coins: two currencies, not one

This is the first thing to settle before you place an order. Apex Coins are the external currency, locked to a strict 1 USD = 100 Apex Coins rate and spent mainly on Midasbuy: exclusive bundles, event offers and limited-time passes. Empire Coins are the in-game premium currency that buys construction and research speed-ups, resource chests, paid Tavern recruits, VIP upgrades and Hero Medals on the side. The two do not convert into each other directly โ€” Apex Coins can be spent on bundles that include Empire Coins among other rewards, but there is no reverse swap. In the Brawl Games catalogue they sit as two separate items: Apex Coins at 99/499/999/1999/4999/9999 and Empire Coins at 400/980/1980/4980/9980/19980. Pick the right one for the job โ€” Monthly Pass and event bundles need Apex, while a Town Hall upgrade or a VIP push needs Empire.

The first-purchase x2: twelve denominations, twelve doublings

The first-purchase double is a standard TiMi mechanic and Age of Empires Mobile applies it independently to both currencies. Six Apex denominations and six Empire denominations add up to twelve separate first purchases, each one doubled. Spending the x2 on 999 Apex Coins does not burn the x2 on 980 Empire Coins โ€” they are tracked apart. Once a denomination is closed, the next purchase at that tier comes in at base rate: 999 Apex Coins delivers 999 Apex Coins, no bonus. The flag is tied to the Governor ID rather than the storefront, so a denomination unlocked on Midasbuy will not double again on the App Store. The standard min-max move is to walk through all twelve denominations once before settling into a regular top-up channel.

Midasbuy: the only official third-party shop

Midasbuy is Tencent's own storefront and for Age of Empires Mobile it works as a direct line to the account balance โ€” confirm with the Governor ID and Empire server, then the currency lands on the profile. Compared to the App Store or Google Play, Midasbuy adds 3% off on standard Apex Coins packs on top of the first-purchase x2. There is one regional caveat to know about: since 2022, cards issued in some markets stop working on Midasbuy, the App Store and Google Play, so for players in regions where official storefronts have limited card support, top-ups by Governor ID + Empire server through a third-party catalogue are the standard workaround. The old Vouchers system that ran from launch through December 2024 is no longer relevant โ€” every Voucher was converted 1:1 into Apex Coins, and there is no need to worry about that label on a current order.

Tavern and Hero Medals: a gacha without the 90-pull pity

The gacha here works very differently from HoYoverse-style banners. There is no hard pity at 90 pulls โ€” instead the game runs on Hero Medals: collect 10 personal medals for a specific legendary hero and the unlock is guaranteed. Universal Medals can later be converted into personal medals for heroes you already own, which feeds the star-up grind. The Tavern offers a free recruit on a cooldown that starts at 24+ hours and drops to one every eight hours once the building is fully levelled; paid recruits are spent in Empire Coins. As of May 2026 the roster has grown past 70 legendary heroes โ€” Joan of Arc, Lu Bu, Leonidas, Hua Mulan, King Arthur, Cao Cao, Julius Caesar, Miyamoto Musashi and others. Season 7 (April 2026) introduced Isabella I as a new S-Rank hero, partly available through the four-day Heroes' Audience check-in. Squads run three heroes deep, and the bonuses peak when their troop type (Cavalry, Infantry, Archer or Siege) and style (Power, Defence, Mobility) line up.

VIP tiers and where Empire Coins go

VIP in Age of Empires Mobile climbs through VIP Points handed out for daily logins and for purchases made with Empire Coins or Apex Coins. There is no direct VIP-level purchase โ€” instead, packs of VIP Points accelerate the progress bar. The thresholds that matter for free-to-play and low-spender accounts are VIP 5 (+2% build speed), VIP 8 as the sweet spot (+5% research speed, +20% governor stamina) and VIP 10+ for an extra construction queue slot and free daily speed-ups. That last tier is where the soft pay-to-progress curve becomes obvious, but VIP 8 is the realistic target for the first months of an account. Beyond VIP, Empire Coins go on speed-ups (minute, hour and day stacks), food/wood/stone/gold resource chests, hero skill points and gear upgrades. Outside of spending, you can farm Empire Coins through events, alliance chests and Mightiest Governor rewards โ€” the pace just doesn't match buying.

Monthly Pass, Growth Fund and seasonal event passes

The closest thing to a subscription in Age of Empires Mobile is the Monthly Pass, and it is a one-off 30-day SKU rather than recurring billing. Two tiers exist โ€” a base option around $2.99 and an enhanced one around $4.99 โ€” and each delivers daily speed-ups, resources, skill points and experience when you log in; missed days do not stack. Multiple active Monthly Passes layer on top of one another because they are separate SKUs, not auto-renewing subscriptions. Alongside it, the Growth Fund is a one-time progression pack that pays out as the Town Hall climbs, similar to the long-term reward packs familiar from Rise of Kingdoms and Lords Mobile. Seasonal event passes such as Path to Imperial City attach to live modes and run in 1โ€“2-week phases, paying out Hero Medals, resources and city cosmetic themes โ€” this is a chain of short passes around the current season, not a single 42-day Battle Pass.

Nine civilisations, Mightiest Empire and Server Merge

As of May 2026 the playable line-up has nine civilisations: Chinese, Romans, Egyptians, Japanese, Koreans, Byzantines, British, French and the Arabs, who arrived on 14 October 2025 for the first anniversary. Each one brings its own architecture and a starter bonus that you feel most in the first weeks of an account. The flagship spending driver is Mightiest Empire, the four-phase cross-server PvP cycle (Matchmaking โ†’ Preparation โ†’ War โ†’ Recovery) in which two empires fight for the Imperial City; the winner crowns a single ruler over both servers. The individual track runs in parallel as Mightiest Governor. Servers carry the Empire prefix with a numeric suffix โ€” Empire 200+ have been opened by May 2026, alongside an older category called Kingdom Servers. The server is locked at account creation, and migration is only available through the Server Merge event, which became a regular cadence with the 1.11 update in March 2026. The live client is on version 1.10.101.

Governor ID, servers and how the top-up reaches the account

The Governor ID is the unique account identifier in Age of Empires Mobile and is shown under Profile โ†’ Governor Information. Unlike fixed-length UIDs in HoYoverse games, it is a generated numeric string and cannot be changed once the character is created. The Brawl Games checkout asks for the Governor ID and the server in Empire 106 format โ€” Apex Coins or Empire Coins are then credited straight to the account with no login or password handed over. The same Governor ID covers iOS, Android and PC Edition through Steam or the Microsoft Store, so a player who tops up on mobile can immediately put the bundle to work in a desktop Mightiest Empire run.

How to place a top-up

  1. Open the in-game profile and copy the Governor ID from Governor Information.
  2. Note your server number in the Empire 106 format.
  3. Pick the right pack โ€” Apex Coins for Midasbuy bundles, Empire Coins for in-game speed-ups.
  4. Enter the Governor ID and server in the order form.
  5. Confirm the details, complete payment and wait for the credit to land on the account.

If you are into the mobile 4X scene

  • Call of Dragons โ€” Farlight Games' direct cousin to AoE Mobile, with Dragon Tickets and the same UID + server top-up flow.
  • The Ants: Underground Kingdom โ€” StarUnion's 4X with Diamonds, alliance warfare and a familiar VIP ladder, also topped up by User ID.
  • Infinite Lagrange โ€” NetEase's cross-platform sci-fi RTS with Chu-Coins and a unified profile across PC, iOS and Android.

The Brawl Games catalogue carries both denomination ladders: six Apex Coins packs from 99 to 9999 and six Empire Coins packs from 400 to 19980. Checkout only needs the Governor ID and the Empire server number, and payment is accepted from Russia and the CIS. Before placing an order it is worth deciding which currency the situation calls for โ€” a Midasbuy bundle versus an in-game speed-up โ€” because the two are not interchangeable. The on-site chat is open for questions about a specific pack or server format.
