Mass Effect Legendary Edition: the whole Shepard trilogy in one Steam gift
Mass Effect Legendary Edition is the remaster of BioWare's entire legendary space trilogy: Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 bundled together, polished and rebuilt in 4K Ultra HD with HDR support. It isn't three separate files but one continuous journey of Commander Shepard: your decisions, romances and losses carry across the games and shape an ending that's truly yours. Here you buy the edition as a Steam gift — the game arrives straight in your library through our supplier bot.
What's in the edition
Legendary Edition includes all three core games plus 40+ single-player DLC that used to be sold separately. Among them are major story DLC the experience wouldn't be the same without:
- Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker, Kasumi — Stolen Memory, Zaeed — The Price of Revenge, Overlord, Firewalker Pack, Arrival.
- Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut (the expanded ending), Leviathan, Omega, Citadel, From Ashes, plus Genesis and Genesis 2.
- Mass Effect 1: Bring Down the Sky and a reworked combat system brought closer to the sequels.
It's worth knowing the limits: Mass Effect 3's multiplayer and its online DLC are not part of Legendary Edition, and neither is the old Pinnacle Station DLC. That's deliberate — this edition is entirely about the single-player campaign. So if you were after the third game's co-op, it isn't here, but every story piece of the trilogy is.
What the remaster changed
BioWare did more than bump the resolution. Textures, models and lighting were reworked, and the 2007 first game gained the most: improved shooting, UI, balancing, and the removal of old annoyances like the cramped inventory and the sluggish Mako rover. All of it runs in 4K Ultra HD with HDR and high frame rates on modern hardware. In practice it's the most comfortable way to play the original trilogy today.
Why it's still one of the best space RPGs
Mass Effect is loved for the living crew of the Normandy, for choices with real consequences, and for a universe you believe in: Reapers, the Citadel, krogan, geth and dozens of races with their own politics. What matters here isn't min-maxing a build but deciding who you trust and who you're willing to sacrifice. That's why the series is still cited as a benchmark story RPG, and Legendary Edition as the best way in.
How we deliver the gift
You receive Mass Effect Legendary Edition as a Steam Gift. In the order you provide your Steam friend invite link and your account region. Our bot then adds itself as your friend, sends the gift, and leaves your friend list after delivery — no manual request to accept. Steam Guard isn't required for any of this. Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes from checkout.
Two things to check in advance
For Steam to accept the gift, two conditions must line up. First, your Steam account region must match the gift region — otherwise the system simply won't let you accept it. Second, Mass Effect Legendary Edition must not already be in that account's library: a gift can't be accepted for a game you already own. Also make sure friend invites are allowed in your profile settings. If the bot couldn't add you, it's almost always closed friend invites or an outdated invite link; refresh them and we'll retry.
If you enjoy the BioWare and EA universe
Finished the trilogy and want more? Check out Mass Effect Andromeda — a standalone story in a new galaxy. If you like big fantasy RPGs with choices and companions, there's Dragon Age Inquisition from the same studio. And for EA's signature cinematic Star Wars action, try Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
How many hours and where to start
A full run of all three games with their story DLC easily passes a hundred hours, and chasing every side mission and romance pushes it further. You should start with the first game: that's where you create Shepard, set the class, looks and personality, and those decisions ripple through the second and third games. Legendary Edition carries saves between the games, so a single hero's story runs across the whole trilogy without breaks. If you're brand new to the series, this is the perfect moment to start, because all the content is gathered in one place and there's nothing to buy separately.
Buying in short
Mass Effect Legendary Edition is the whole trilogy and 40+ DLC in a single Steam gift, a single-player campaign of dozens of hours. Before buying, check your account region and that you don't already own the game — then dive into Shepard's galaxy.
