What the game is and why people still play it
TEKKEN 7 launched on Steam on June 2, 2017 and quickly became a backbone of the competitive fighting scene. Combat is built on tight combos, precise counters, the Rage system and flashy Rage Art finishers that can flip a round at the last sliver of health. Dozens of fighters, each with a distinct style: some pressure with rushdown and grabs, others zone and punish mistakes. That's why the game has lasted for years — easy to start, very deep to master.
Base TEKKEN 7
The base version is the complete game with its launch roster, the story campaign about the Mishima family conflict, arcade modes, training and online play. If you just want the fighter itself without extra characters or stages, this is enough to sink plenty of time into. You can always add individual Season Passes on top later.
Originals Edition: the whole "core" Tekken family
Originals Edition is the base game plus every "native" Tekken fighter that shipped as DLC: Eliza, Anna Williams, Lei Wulong, Craig Marduk, Armor King, Julia Chang, Zafina, Ganryu, Leroy Smith, Fahkumram, Kunimitsu and Lidia Sobieska. It also includes the handy Frame Data Display feature that shows frame data right in training — essential if you take the game seriously. One important note: Originals does NOT include the guest crossover characters — Geese Howard, Noctis from Final Fantasy, and Negan from The Walking Dead. If you don't need them, this is the most sensible pick.
Definitive Edition: everything at once
Definitive Edition is the maximum package. It includes the game itself, the pre-order fighter Eliza and all four Season Passes in full, which means the guest characters, the extra stages, the modes and the customization sets too. It's the easiest option if you don't want to think about what to buy next: one gift gets you all the TEKKEN 7 content released across the game's support life.
What's inside each Season Pass
- Season Pass 1 — Ultimate TEKKEN BOWL mode, extra costumes and two guests: Geese Howard and Noctis Lucis Caelum, plus a customization set.
- Season Pass 2 — the return of Anna Williams, Lei Wulong, Craig Marduk and Julia Chang, plus Armor King and Negan from The Walking Dead.
- Season Pass 3 — Zafina, Ganryu, new fighters Leroy Smith and Fahkumram, the Frame Data Display feature and the Cave of Enlightenment stage.
- Season Pass 4 — Kunimitsu, Lidia Sobieska and two stages: Vermillion Gates and Island Paradise.
Every Season Pass is an add-on: it only works on top of a TEKKEN 7 you already own. If you grab the Definitive Edition, you don't need to buy the passes separately — they're already included. Also note that some fighters overlap between builds (for example, the guest Geese is in both Season Pass 1 and the Definitive Edition), so check your Steam library before buying to avoid receiving the same content twice.
Gift region
A Steam gift is tied to a region, so the region of your Steam account must match the region of the gift. It's not a catch, just how gifting works: if the regions don't match, the bot can't hand the game to you. The region is always shown next to each product, so just check it against your account before ordering. One more condition for the gift to be accepted: the chosen game or edition must NOT already be in your Steam library.
How you receive the gift
No keys, no activation codes — it all goes through a Steam gift. After you place the order, our bot adds you as a friend on its own and sends the game as a gift. You do NOT need to accept the incoming friend request — the bot handles everything itself. Steam Guard is not required to receive the gift.
