Your Only Move Is HUSTLE: a turn-based fighter that actually lets you think
Your Only Move Is HUSTLE (most people just call it YOMI Hustle) is an online fighting game that flips the genre on its head. Instead of real-time button mashing, the game freezes after every action and gives you time to plan your next move, read your opponent and build combos literally frame by frame. The result is a strange but addictive mix of a fighting game, chess and a film director's chair: you're not reacting on reflex, you're choreographing the perfect fight scene.
Here you buy the full game and it arrives in your Steam library as a gift β no keys to enter, no extra hassle.
What kind of game is this
YOMI Hustle was made by a single person β a developer who goes by Ivy Sly, who handled almost all of the art, code and music alone. The game hit open beta in November 2022 and its 1.0 version landed on Steam on February 3, 2023. Despite being a tiny solo project, it earned βOverwhelmingly Positiveβ reviews and a big community that still pumps out wild combo videos.
The idea is simple to describe and deep to play: each round is a series of moves. You pick an action, your opponent picks theirs, time nudges forward a step, and you both watch how it plays out. There are no training modes full of frame data to memorize β all the timing and hitbox info is right in front of you, so you get into it fast while the mastery curve runs long.
Why it's so sticky
- Prediction over reflexes. The winner isn't the player with faster hands, but the one who reads the opponent's plan a move ahead.
- Expressive combos. The system lets you string together long, spectacular sequences β hence its reputation as an βepic fight generator.β
- A sandbox for clips. Any match can be replayed like a directed scene, and the community built a whole clip culture around it.
- Online and LAN. There are online lobbies and LAN play, plus a single-player mode to practice.
Editions and contents
This part is refreshingly simple: Your Only Move Is HUSTLE has a single edition β the complete game. No Deluxe/Gold versions and no paid DLC to chase down: buy it and you get all the content. So there's no edition to choose, just pick the variant matching your Steam region.
How we deliver it β a Steam gift, not a key
Important detail: this is a Steam Gift. You don't get an activation code β instead our bot adds itself to your friends list and sends the game straight to your library. To make it go smoothly, keep a couple of conditions in mind:
- Region must match. Your Steam account region has to match the gift's region, otherwise Steam refuses to accept it. So choose the option for your region.
- Game not already owned. An account that already owns YOMI Hustle can't accept the gift β that's the most common snag. Send it to an account that doesn't have the game yet.
- Open friend requests. Your profile settings must allow friend requests so the bot can find you.
- No Steam Guard needed. The gift is accepted without it, and you don't need to approve the friend request manually β the bot handles everything and leaves your friends list after delivery.
Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes from checkout. It's not a hard guarantee β occasionally a bit longer β but as a rule it's quick.
Where you can play
The primary platform is Windows (Windows 7 64-bit and up). On top of that, the game has a native SteamOS and Linux build, so it also runs on Steam Deck. Once the gift drops into your library, you install it like any other Steam purchase.
If you love unusual indies
YOMI Hustle is the kind of experimental indie that hooks you with fresh mechanics rather than graphics. If that approach clicks with you, check out Rivals of Aether and Lethal League Blaze β both are skill-driven online brawlers with strong communities β and for a more tactical, deliberate feel, Nidhogg 2 sits close in spirit.
Buy Your Only Move Is HUSTLE from us and you get the full game in your Steam library as a gift, with no keys or fuss. After that, all that's left is learning to read your opponent one move ahead.
