YAPYAP โ€” Steam Gift

About the game

YAPYAP is a co-op horror romp where you and up to five friends play minions a wizard sends to trash a rival's tower. You cast spells with your voice (enunciation matters!), smash everything in sight and hit your vandalism quota while magical beasts hunt you down. You get the full game as a gift, straight into your Steam library.

Once the gift is delivered it cannot be refunded. If Steam rejects the gift due to region mismatch, the full amount is returned to your site balance.
Available items are processed automatically. Any issues will be resolved starting from 9:00 MSK.

Your Steam account region must match the gift region, and YAPYAP must not already be in your library. Pick the option for your region.

FAQ

YAPYAP โ€” co-op horror about trashing a wizard's tower

YAPYAP is a loud co-op horror game from studio Maison Bap, released on Steam on February 3, 2026. You and up to five friends play minions a wizard sends into a rival's tower with one job: cause as much mayhem as possible. You hit your vandalism quota with spells while magical beasts and the tower's guards roam the halls. Here you buy the full game as a gift, delivered straight to your Steam library.

What YAPYAP is about

The signature mechanic of YAPYAP is casting spells with your voice, and you have to enunciate clearly: slur a word and the spell fizzles or misfires. That's half the fun, because in co-op six people are shouting spells at once, knocking things over, setting fires and tearing the tower apart. Levels are procedurally generated, the environment is destructible, and a layer of stealth sits on top of the action โ€” sometimes it's smarter to sneak past a monster than to wake the whole tower. The game launched to "Very Positive" reviews, praised for its chaotic, cozy co-op vibe.

What you get

You're buying the base YAPYAP game โ€” the full version, nothing cut. It arrives as a Steam Gift: the gift lands in your library and the game is yours forever, just like a normal Steam purchase. There's a single version โ€” the game has no separate "editions" with different contents. There's only a soundtrack DLC sold separately, and it's not part of this lot. So there's nothing to pick: grab the game and play, solo or with up to six friends.

How we deliver the gift

Delivery runs through a Steam bot. You provide two things: a friend invite link (grab it in your Steam profile via "Add Friend") and your account region. After the order, the bot adds itself as your friend, sends the gift, and automatically leaves your friends list once it's delivered โ€” you don't accept anything manually. Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes. You don't need Steam Guard enabled for this.

Region and key conditions

A Steam gift comes with two hard rules, and both are on you. First: your Steam account region must match the gift region, otherwise Steam simply won't let you accept it. So enter your real account country when ordering. Second: YAPYAP must not already be in that account's library โ€” Steam won't accept a gift for a game you already own. If both conditions are met and your profile allows friend requests, delivery goes smoothly. Sending is available to a wide set of regions.

Platforms and hardware

YAPYAP runs on Windows 10 and newer, as well as macOS 10.15 and newer. It also launches on Steam Deck, though some features may not be fully supported there โ€” worth keeping in mind for a voice-driven co-op horror. Since the whole engine revolves around pronouncing spells, a decent microphone makes for the smoothest experience.

Why YAPYAP shines in a group

You can clear YAPYAP solo, but the game truly opens up in co-op. Voice-cast spells turn every run into a comedy: someone slurs a word and torches a teammate instead of the target, someone mixes up a spell and drops half the ceiling, and a monster is already charging at the noise. The destructible environment rewards chaos, yet you still have to hit the vandalism quota โ€” so the team constantly balances "smash everything" against "don't alert the guards too soon." Procedural level generation means the same tower never repeats, and every run feels fresh. It's a game-night title: gather friends, cast nonsense, laugh, repeat.

Gift vs a regular purchase โ€” what it means for you

In the end you get the exact same game in the same Steam library as buying from the store directly. The Steam Gift format is just a delivery method: the gift arrives on your account, you accept it, and YAPYAP is yours forever. There are no limits on launching, updates or multiplayer just because the game came as a gift. The only thing to keep in mind is the two acceptance conditions: matching region and the game not already in your library. Meet those and you won't feel any difference from a normal purchase.

If you love co-op horror

YAPYAP sits alongside other co-op horror games where the point is to survive an evening with friends and laugh about it. If the genre clicks for you, check out Lethal Company and Content Warning โ€” the same team-chaos chemistry in different settings. And fans of scary online play surely know Phasmophobia. YAPYAP adds its own twist to the formula โ€” voice-cast spells and a destructible wizard's tower.

Quick answers

Do you need Steam Guard? No. What if the game is already in your library? Then Steam won't let you accept the gift โ€” order on an account without YAPYAP. What if the bot didn't add you? Most likely your profile blocks friend requests or the link expired โ€” open friend requests and send a fresh link. More details in the FAQ above.
