Witchspire: co-op spellcasting in an open world
Witchspire is a co-op adventure from Envar Games where you and your friends play as young witches and wizards. You're stranded in a hand-crafted magical world where an ancient darkness is rising, and you're trying to find your way home. The game launched into Steam Early Access on June 10, 2026 and quickly earned a โVery Positiveโ review rating. On this page you're buying the Witchspire game itself โ it arrives as a Steam gift and lands straight in your library.
Magic instead of the usual survival grind
Witchspire flips the classic survival formula. There's no hunger bar and no tedious farming for food โ you gather resources by casting spells. Magic runs through everything: harvesting materials, combat, and getting around the world. You explore a hand-built region where every corner has its own character, rather than procedurally generated sameness. That makes wandering meaningful: places stick in your memory and are worth coming back to.
Familiars: defeat and befriend
Creatures in Witchspire aren't just mobs. You can beat them in combat, then bond with them and take them on as familiars. Each familiar supports a different playstyle, and building your collection becomes its own pleasure โ hence the โPokรฉmon meets a world of witchesโ comparisons. Pick companions that fit your tactics and the coven you're playing with.
Building through astral projection
Bases here aren't built the usual way. Using astral projection, you raise floating sanctuaries that ignore normal gravity โ you can shape a home in mid-air and assemble whimsical structures together with friends. Progress runs along branching tech trees as you level your character and unlock coven abilities โ Cloudpiercers, Foretellers and others, each with its own flavor.
Co-op for up to six players
Witchspire can be played solo, but it shines in co-op. A single server holds up to 6 players: exploring the world, fending off the darkness, catching familiars and building a shared base is far more fun together. If you want a relaxed witchy sandbox for an evening with friends, this is it.
What โEarly Accessโ means here
Let's be upfront: Witchspire is in Early Access. That means the core systems โ combat, magic, customization, exploration, building, creature collecting and the skill tree โ already work and the game is fully playable. At the same time, the developers plan to stay in Early Access for at least a year: expanding the world and adding creatures, spells and story. Buying now means joining the project early and growing with it. It's the studio's first original title, made by people with experience on major games.
How the Steam gift delivery works
We deliver Witchspire through a bot as a Steam Gift. We need two things from you: your Steam friend invite link and your account region. The rest happens on its own: the bot adds itself as your friend, sends the gift, and leaves your friends list after delivery โ you don't need to accept anything manually. Steam Guard isn't required. Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes from checkout.
There are two conditions, without which Steam won't accept the gift. First: your account region must match the gift region โ so enter your region precisely. Second: Witchspire must not already be in this account's library, since you can't gift a game it already owns. If the bot didn't add you, it's almost always closed friend requests or an expired link: open friend requests, send a fresh link, and we'll help.
Why a Steam gift rather than a key
We deliver Witchspire as a Steam gift instead of an activation code โ for gift mechanics that's a normal, familiar way to hand the game straight into your library. You don't have to activate anything manually via โActivate a Product on Steamโ: the game arrives as a ready gift, and you simply accept it with one click. The one catch is that a gift is tied to a region, which is exactly why entering your account region correctly matters so much. Everything else is handled by the bot, so you never wrestle with codes or code errors.
