Witch It — multiplayer hide-and-seek in a magical world

Witch It is an online game of hide-and-seek where one team plays as witches and the other as hunters. It sounds simple, but that simplicity is exactly why it's so easy to sink hours into with friends: witches morph into any object on the map — a pumpkin, a barrel, a chair, a head of cabbage — and freeze among the scenery, while hunters comb the cozy fairy-tale villages trying to spot the one pot that doesn't belong. The game was developed by Barrel Roll Games and published by Daedalic Entertainment. Witch It hit Early Access back on May 31, 2017, and its full release landed on October 22, 2020, so it's a mature, polished project with lots of content and an active Steam Workshop.

Witches vs hunters: how a match works

Every round is a little reverse-detective story. Witches hide: you pick any object on the map and literally become it, you can roll around, swap props, and confuse hunters with fake arrangements. Hunters seek: they carry a broom-"swatter" to whack suspicious objects, but hitting ordinary items costs them, so you can't just smash everything — you have to watch, notice the odd one out, and think. The longer a witch survives, the more heated the chase gets. Beyond the classic hide mode there are extra twists and custom rules, and there are more than fifteen official maps plus an endless Workshop of community levels and prop layouts.

Witch It is a "play with friends" game. It doesn't demand esports reflexes, but it delivers a steady stream of hilarious moments: a hunter tearing apart half a room hunting for one witch who was right under their nose the whole time as a candelabra. What's included in the gift

The base option is the full Witch It game, delivered to you as a Steam gift and yours to keep forever in your Steam library. No subscriptions: once you accept the gift, the game is yours. Listed separately is the Witch It Commercial License — a commercial license for those running the game in a public or commercial setting (a gaming club, LAN cafe, business event) or monetizing it strictly under the publisher's terms. Important: the commercial license is NOT a separate copy of the game and not a replacement for the base version. To actually play, you still need Witch It itself; the license only grants the right to commercial use. The vast majority of players don't need it — only get it if you know exactly why.

How we deliver the Steam gift

Delivery uses the Steam Gift mechanic and is fully automated. We need two things from you: your Steam friend invite link (open your profile → "Add Friend" → copy the link in the s.team/p/... format) and your Steam account region. From there our bot adds itself as your friend, sends the gift, and automatically removes itself after delivery — you don't need to accept the request manually. Steam Guard is not required for this, and you don't need any games or activity on the account either. The whole process usually takes a couple of minutes from checkout, though we don't promise a strict timing: sometimes a short wait is needed.

Account region and key conditions

The main condition for the gift is that your Steam account region must match the gift region, otherwise Steam simply won't let you accept it. This product has several regional variants, so pick the one that fits your account and enter the region in the order field. The second mandatory condition: Witch It must not already be in this account's library — Steam won't let you accept a gift for a game you already own, and that's by far the most common reason a gift fails. And third: friend requests must be allowed in your profile settings, otherwise the bot can't reach you.
