FAQ

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 — a vampire RPG as a Steam gift

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is a dark narrative RPG that launched on October 21, 2025. It's developed by UK studio The Chinese Room and published by Paradox Interactive within the World of Darkness setting. A long-awaited sequel to the cult 2004 Bloodlines, it once again pulls you into the backroom wars of vampire clans — this time on the snow-buried streets of Seattle. Here you can buy Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 as a Steam gift: pick an edition and the bot delivers it straight to your library.

What the game is about

You play Phyre, an Elder vampire who wakes in present-day Seattle amid a historic snowstorm. Memory in tatters, no allies, and a hunger in the blood you can't ignore. The city is split between clans, and any conversation can end in an alliance or fangs at your throat. The one rule is the Masquerade: mortals must never learn vampires exist. Break it in front of witnesses and they come for you. Clan choice, weighty dialogue, Disciplines and a thick noir-horror atmosphere are exactly what players were waiting for.

Editions: what's included

Every edition contains the full game; only the extra content differs:

  • Standard — the complete base game, no extras. The ideal entry if you just want the main story.
  • Deluxe — the base game plus the Santa Monica Memories cosmetic pack: haven decorations nodding to the first Bloodlines, including a Stop sign, the Ankaran Sarcophagus and a Voerman portrait, along with clan neon signs earned by finishing with different clans.
  • Premium — everything in Deluxe plus the edition's additional story content (per Paradox, expansions to the main campaign). It's for players who want to lock in the most content up front instead of buying it piecemeal.

About Premium — honestly

Premium's extended content is mostly additions to the base story, some of it tied to later updates. It's best to check the exact contents and timing on the current Steam store page, since the publisher refines details over time. If you only want the main storyline, Standard or Deluxe cover it fully and there's no point overpaying for Premium. We won't attribute content to an edition that may not be there — buy with eyes open.

Clans, Disciplines and play style

Bloodlines 2 is built around your clan choice and your set of Disciplines — vampiric powers that define how you play. Some run as a shadow and solve things quietly: mesmerism, mind-reading, slipping out of sight. Others go loud, turning supernatural strength and speed against their foes. Between fights there are investigations, faction negotiations and a constant balancing act on the edge of the Masquerade: every power used in front of witnesses raises your risk of exposure. That blend of story, consequence and a hunger-driven toolkit is what sets the game apart from ordinary action titles and ties it to the classic immersive sim.

How the Bloodlines 2 gift arrives

This isn't a key — it's an actual Steam Gift. After your order the bot adds itself as your friend via the invite link, sends the gift, and leaves your friends list once delivered — no manual accepting. Steam Guard isn't required; the gift lands even on an account without it. We don't promise an exact delivery time: it runs through the bot, and the order status is visible in your account on the site. If something goes wrong with the friend request, message the chat and we'll help.

Region and library — two conditions

For Steam to accept the gift, your account region must match the region of the edition you chose, and you must not already own the game — Steam won't let a gift land on a title you already have. So enter your true region at checkout and check your library in advance. Friend requests must be open in your profile settings, otherwise the bot can't add you. If the region doesn't match, the gift isn't accepted and its value returns to your site balance.

Snowbound Seattle as a character of its own

The setting in Bloodlines 2 is more than a backdrop. A historic snowstorm seals Seattle off, halts ordinary life and turns the city into a closed stage where the vampire factions move more freely than usual. Night streets, docks, clubs and mansions breathe noir gothic, and the weather becomes part of the hunt: snow muffles sound, and empty blocks make quiet work easier while raising the stakes if the Masquerade starts to crack. A sealed city gives the story density — you have places to return to, and each location gathers familiar faces and old debts.

The legacy of the first Bloodlines

The original 2004 Bloodlines became a cult classic precisely for its atmosphere, sharp dialogue and roleplay freedom, despite its technical rough edges. The sequel inherits that DNA: the same World of Darkness clans, the same emphasis on player decisions and the same pull toward grim urban gothic. References to the first game are scattered throughout and especially visible in the Deluxe edition cosmetics — a nice nod to anyone who remembers Santa Monica.

Platforms and the technical side

The gift lands in your Steam library, so the game runs anywhere Steam works: a desktop PC, a laptop, and Steam Deck — bearing in mind it's a demanding modern RPG. Localization and system requirements depend on the current Steam build, so it's worth checking them on the store page before launching. The platform across all editions is the same — PC via Steam, with payment available from Russia and the CIS.
