🖥 Where will V Rising be available after purchase?

It's a key for the PC version on Steam. The code is redeemed via “Activate a Product on Steam”, and the game appears in your Steam library. It does not apply to the PlayStation version.

Do the DLC packs need the base game?

Yes. Sinister Evolution, Eldest Bloodline, Eternal Dominance and Dracula's Relics are cosmetic packs (outfits, shapeshift forms, castle decor). They only work on top of the base V Rising already owned on the same account.

Can I play co-op and PvP?

Yes. V Rising supports solo play, clan co-op and PvP/PvE servers (including local play and dedicated servers). It's the same Steam PC version.

🖥 Will V Rising work on Steam Deck/Linux?

It's a regular Steam PC key, so the game lands in your library and installs like any other Steam title, including on Steam Deck. The key itself is no different for the Deck.

💳 The V Rising key did not activate — can I get a refund?

Yes, but on one condition only: a single-take video recording — from payment to receiving the code and the activation attempt, no pauses or cuts. Without that recording a refund for the V Rising key cannot be issued under any circumstances — that is how digital code policy works.

V Rising is a gothic top-down survival action game from Sweden's Stunlock Studios. You wake from a century-long slumber as a weakened vampire — no power, no castle, no court. Around you is the hostile open world of Vardoran, where humans hunt the undead and the sun overhead is your deadliest enemy by day. From a homeless bloodsucker you slowly grow into your own version of Dracula: you drink blood for power, track down powerful blood-carrier bosses (V Bloods), build and defend your own castle, and expand your domain. Buying a key here gets you a Steam activation code — and the game lands in your library for good.

What V Rising actually is

It's a blend of survival, action-RPG and base building. Blood is both your resource and your identity: different blood types (warrior, scholar, rogue, worker) grant different bonuses, so you literally choose who to drain. By day you hide in shadow and under your castle roof; by night you head out to hunt. As you progress you unlock vampire powers, smithing and alchemy, shapeshifts into wolf, bear and other forms, and you take new abilities and recipes from the V Bloods you defeat. The 1.0 launch added a full story line, new biomes and bosses, so the game feels finished rather than a forever-beta.

How you play: solo, clan, PvP

V Rising flexes around your group. You can play solo as a calm survival-and-building run. You can form a clan and share a single castle in co-op. Or you can join a PvP server where other vampires will happily tear your fortress apart and take your loot — there are siege mechanics and modes with different harshness for exactly that. Local play and dedicated servers are supported, so you can set the pace that suits your crew.

Base game versus cosmetic packs

This page has two kinds of product. The first is the base V Rising game: that's the full game, everything you need is inside. The second is cosmetic packs (DLC): they add no new mechanics and are not a standalone copy of the game, they add outfits, shapeshift pets and castle decor. Every pack requires the base V Rising to already be owned on your account.

Founder's Pack: Eldest Bloodline — the early-settler set. It adds three shapeshift variants (the Stygian Wolf, the Stygian Bear and a Grandma form), 27 gargoyle statues and 6 ornaments for your castle, a selection of vampire cosmetics (masks, glasses and more), plus the game's original soundtrack.
Sinister Evolution Pack — released on May 17, 2023 alongside the Gloomrot update. It's the mad-scientist set: the Plague Chemist garb with a protective mask and scholar's drapes, an upgraded steed with mechanical parts and alchemical fuel, and a decor set in a bioluminescent-lab style — bronze, wood, glass and a stained-glass throne.
Eternal Dominance Pack — all about luxury and vanity. A gilded castle decor set with pools, fountains, gems and lavish prisoner “accommodations”, plus the Gilded Darkwolf, an alternate look for the wolf shapeshift. Purely cosmetic.
Dracula's Relics Pack — one of V Rising's earliest relic sets. The Immortal King's Drape, Cloak and Mantle, his Greathelm, and a spread of castle decor: a royal coffin, throne, stone floors, doors, wallpaper, glass windows and royal braziers with flames in several colors.

Before buying, pick the variant that matches your Steam region. If a DLC pack's region doesn't match your base game's region, activation may fail, so keep the base and the packs in the same region.

How to activate the key

It all happens inside Steam. Open the client, go to the “Games” menu and choose “Activate a Product on Steam”. Enter the code we send you and confirm — Steam checks the region and adds the game or pack to your library. After that you just download and play. For DLC packs, the base V Rising must be installed first.
