What you build and why

The action unfolds in the fictional Two Point County, where you're handed a run-down clinic and told to "make something decent out of it". From there it's all you. You lay out reception desks and GP offices, build diagnostic rooms, a pharmacy, a ward and an operating theatre, route corridors, and place vending machines, benches, plants and radiators so patients stay comfortable instead of storming off. Every room needs its own equipment and staff, and the hospital itself needs a balance between spending and reputation.

Illnesses that don't exist

The signature charm of Two Point Hospital is its diagnoses. Patients show up with "Mock Star" (convinced they're a pop royalty), "Light-Headedness" (a literal lightbulb for a head), "Pixelitis" and dozens of other absurd conditions. Each illness must first be diagnosed in the right offices, then cured in a dedicated treatment room — and every cure is an excuse for another visual gag.

Behind the comedy sits genuine management depth. You hire doctors, nurses, assistants and janitors, train up their skills, watch their fatigue and salaries, and battle queues, epidemics and breaking equipment. You need to keep the budget in the black, raise your hospital's prestige with stars, hit level objectives and gradually unlock new county locations — each with its own climate and story challenges. There's a sandbox for stress-free building, online leaderboards, and cooperative challenges too.
