Hundreds of realistic vehicles and historical eras
The vehicle roster spans a huge stretch of history — roughly from 1850 to the modern day. You start with puffing steam locomotives and simple carriages, then move on to diesel engines, electric trains, high-speed expresses and jet airliners. The collection holds hundreds of detailed models from Europe, America and Asia, each with its own era, speed and personality. Older vehicles gradually become obsolete and need replacing, so your fleet lives and changes right alongside technological progress.
Three campaigns and free play
The campaign in Transport Fever 2 isn't a half-hour tutorial but three full story lines worth dozens of hours, set across different regions of the world and different eras. Each mission sets its own goals and gradually reveals the game's systems. When you want total freedom, free play mode is right there: customizable maps, your choice of size and difficulty, manual terrain editing, and full control over how your cities and cargo flows grow. Want a calm pressure-free sandbox? Sure. Want a tough economic challenge? That's on the table too.
A living economy, cities and cargo flows
Behind the pretty picture runs a serious simulation. Cities grow when they're well served, residents need goods and convenient transport, and industries ramp up production when demand and logistics line up. You'll watch passenger flows, travel times, line capacity and the profitability of every route. Lay a line badly and trains jam up and bleed money; plan it well and the network brings steady income while the city flourishes. That feedback loop is exactly what keeps you glued to the screen.
Map editor and Steam Workshop mods
Transport Fever 2 is famous for being open to creativity. The built-in map editor lets you sculpt your own world — rivers, mountains, cities, resources. And the Steam Workshop offers thousands of mods: new trains and planes, real maps of entire countries, graphical upgrades, economy reworks and handy tools. Because of this the game practically never ends: even after hundreds of hours there's always something new to add and try again.

How the Steam Gift delivery works
