Nearly two decades after the cult original, the series is back. Titan Quest II is an action RPG (hack-and-slash style) from German studio Grimlore Games, published by THQ Nordic. It again unfolds in a fantastical reimagining of Ancient Greece: centaurs, cyclopes, gryphons and other creatures of myth stand in your way, with Nemesis, the Goddess of Retribution, at the heart of the story. Your hero's journey runs from an ordinary mortal to a figure able to rival the Olympians themselves.

What makes the gameplay click

The signature feature of the series is here — the dual-mastery system. You're not locked into one class: you pick two development paths and combine their skills into a build of your own. Want a warrior wielding the elements? An archer backed by summons? Hybrid combos are the backbone of replayability — different mastery pairs feel like different games.

Combat is noticeably livelier than the classic "click the crowd to death" ARPG. Enemies coordinate their attacks and press in groups, so dodging, countering and skill timing matter as much as raw damage numbers. Loot is meaningful too: items don't just push stats upward, they change how you play — you build around them rather than grabbing everything.

Solo campaign and co-op

Titan Quest II's campaign is handcrafted with a focus on exploration: not procedurally chopped levels but hand-built areas worth combing for secrets and gear. You can play solo at your own pace or in online co-op with friends. An honest caveat: during early access, co-op is in an early preview state — it's functional but not yet polished, and it will keep improving through development.

The edition and what's in the gift

The game currently has a single Standard edition, and that's exactly what we deliver as a gift. It's the full base game, with no separate Deluxe/Gold bundles: there are no extra DLC packs on sale at the moment. Since Titan Quest II is in Early Access, buying now means you get all future content updates and patches up to the 1.0 release at no extra cost — that's part of Steam's Early Access model.

Early Access: honest about the status

Titan Quest II entered Early Access on August 1, 2025. The developers ship regular updates — monthly bug fixes and larger feature updates roughly every quarter — and target a full 1.0 release by late 2026. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are also planned for the full release. If a "finished" build matters to you, keep in mind the game is still evolving; if you'd rather grow with the project and try content as it lands, Early Access is made for exactly that.
