Thank You For Your Application: the sim where you do the hiring
Most games about work put you in the line of applicants. Thank You For Your Application flips the desk around: you're the one reading other people's resumes, cross-checking their documents and stamping them "accepted" or "rejected." Developer IceLemonTea Studio (published by No More Robots) built a story-driven HR-interview simulator where, behind the paperwork, sits the living city of Aeropolis and, behind every candidate, a person with a story. The game launched on June 19, 2026 and slotted straight into the niche of "thinking" simulators for players who like a simple mechanic to carry real moral weight.
What the game is really about
You take a recruiter's job at the biggest corporation in Aeropolis. Onto your desk come application forms, resumes, certificates and reference letters β and on top of them, the company rulebook: who you may hire today, which documents are mandatory, what counts as forgery. The catch is that the rules shift almost every shift β one day they tighten the age limit, the next they demand a new stamp, then they tell you to filter out entire professions. Your job is not to drown in the bureaucracy while also not wrecking someone's life with a stroke of the pen. It's a game about attention to detail, deadline pressure and the quiet ethics of small decisions.
Why it hooks you
- Documents as a puzzle. A mismatched date, the wrong photo, a suspicious signature β you hunt for inconsistencies like a detective behind a counter.
- Shifting rules. What was fine yesterday is grounds for rejection today. You have to keep the latest instructions in mind and never run on autopilot.
- The weight of a verdict. Behind the dry "accepted/rejected" stand the candidates' fates, and the game never lets you forget it.
- Atmosphere. A grim corporate Aeropolis, recognizable office absurdity and a story that unfolds between shifts.
What you're buying
What's on sale here is the base edition of Thank You For Your Application β the complete game, with no separate DLC or add-ons. You receive it as a Steam gift: once your order is placed, our bot adds itself to your friend list and sends the game straight in Steam. All you do is accept the gift, and Thank You For Your Application lands in your library for good, exactly like a normal Steam store purchase. No region-locked keys, no manual activation β it arrives as a ready gift on your account.
How the gift delivery works
The mechanic is as simple as it gets. In the order fields you provide your Steam friend-invite link and your account region. From there our bot takes over: it friends you, sends the gift (usually within a couple of minutes) and, once delivery is done, removes itself from your friend list. You don't need to accept the friend request manually β the bot handles everything. Steam Guard is not required: the gift arrives fine even on an account without two-factor protection. The one thing that matters is that your profile settings allow friend requests.
Region and ownership β two conditions that matter
Steam gifts follow two rules, and both are worth checking in advance. First: your Steam account region must match the gift's region β if they differ, Steam simply won't let you accept the gift. So state your region honestly in the order and we'll match the right variant. Second: you must not already own the game β Steam won't let you accept a gift for a title your account already has. That's the single most common reason a gift "won't accept," so glance at your library before ordering.
Who it's for
If you love simulators where a simple action gains meaning, this is your game. Like sifting documents and catching the catch the way you do in Papers, Please? It carries the same "inspect and decide" DNA, set in corporate hiring. Into story sims with moral choices like Not For Broadcast or the political tightrope of This Is the President? Thank You For Your Application plays the same field β only your power here is the "accepted/rejected" stamp.
The short version
Thank You For Your Application is a smart, story-driven simulator about working on the other side of the interview desk. You get the full base game as a Steam gift straight to your account: give your region and invite link, accept the gift, and sit down to your first stack of Aeropolis resumes.
