Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge β a Steam Gift for the full game
If you grew up on the 90s Turtles or just love a good arcade beat 'em up, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge hits right in the heart. Developer Tribute Games and publisher Dotemu built a game that looks like a pixel cartoon come to life: bright, punchy, full of that classic βCowabunga!β energy and a soundtrack that makes you want to pummel the Foot Clan all night. Here you're not buying a key β you're getting a Steam Gift delivered straight to your library by our bot.
What the game is
Shredder's Revenge launched on June 16, 2022 and quickly became a modern benchmark for the genre. It's a classic βwalk right and beat everyone upβ with modern polish: combos, special moves, finishers, escalating enemy waves and bosses pulled straight from the cartoon β from Bebop and Rocksteady to Shredder himself. The plot is simple and just right: the Foot Clan is causing trouble in New York again, and the Turtles head out to set things straight.
Who you can play as
Seven heroes are available from the start, each with a distinct style:
- Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello β four turtles with different speed and damage balance;
- April O'Neil β fast and technical;
- Casey Jones β a slow but heavy-hitting tank with a hockey stick;
- Master Splinter β the wise rat with long-reach strikes.
Every hero levels up: more health, new moves, extra slots for βninja power.β So the same stage feels different with Mikey versus Splinter.
Co-op is the heart of it
Shredder's Revenge is built for playing together. Both locally and online you can team up with up to 6 players at once β a rarity for the genre and pure on-screen chaos in the best way. There's a Story mode and an Arcade mode with no saves for anyone craving a single-sitting challenge.
What's in this gift
You get the full base game: the complete campaign, all seven heroes and the entire co-op. The add-ons are sold separately and are not included in this gift:
- Dimension Shellshock (August 31, 2023) β a survival mode, character palettes and two new fighters: Miyamoto Usagi and Karai;
- Radical Reptiles (September 24, 2024) β adds Mona Lisa and Mondo Gecko.
If you want the DLCs later, you can buy them separately β you'll already own the base game.
How we deliver the gift
It's straightforward. At checkout you provide your Steam friend invite link and your account region. Our bot adds itself as your friend, sends the gift, and leaves your friends list once delivery is done β no need to accept anything by hand. Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes after you order. Steam Guard is not required, and the game doesn't need to already be on the account.
Important conditions
Two things Steam needs in order to accept the gift: your account region must match the gift region, and you must not already own the game on that account. Also check that friend requests are enabled in your profile settings β otherwise the bot can't reach you.
Why it's still worth playing in 2026
The game hasn't aged and won't β a pixel beat 'em up has no βgraphics that got old.β What it does have lasts for years: responsive controls, fair difficulty and a pile of references to the 1987 cartoon. The stages are short and dense, you can level up heroes between runs, hunt for secrets within levels and chase high scores in Arcade mode. It's a perfect βevening with friendsβ game while still deep enough to come back to for a full run on the hardest difficulty.
Will it run on your hardware
Shredder's Revenge is light and runs smoothly even on weak PCs and laptops β the 2D pixel art barely touches your GPU. It plays great with a controller (especially in couch co-op), but the keyboard works fine too. Plenty of players run it on the Steam Deck β the short-level format fits handheld perfectly.
If you love games like this
Shredder's Revenge stands among the best modern beat 'em ups. If you enjoy it, check out Streets of Rage 4 from the same publisher Dotemu, the pixel action of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, or the energetic River City Girls. All of them are about grabbing a friend and clearing a wave of enemies from one edge of the screen to the other.
