FAQ

Sun Haven β€” a Steam gift for your account

Sun Haven is a farming sim that pretends to be a cozy game about crops and quietly turns out to be a full-blown RPG. Made by Pixel Sprout Studios, it lets you build a farm, pick a race and a profession, romance the townsfolk, dive into dungeons after monsters, and invite friends into co-op. This listing isn't a demo or a stripped-down version β€” it's the full Sun Haven game, delivered straight to your Steam library as a gift.

What Sun Haven is in two paragraphs

The game hit early access on June 25, 2021 after a successful Kickstarter, and fully released on March 11, 2023. On the surface it's a familiar pixel-art farm life sim: you plant and water crops, fish, mine, decorate your home and build relationships with the locals. But Sun Haven takes that base and pours a generous fantasy layer on top β€” which is why it's often called "Stardew Valley's magical sister."

The big difference is a real role-playing system. Combat is real-time, enemies and quests grant experience, and you unlock skills as you level. At the same time it's kind to players who came for calm: you can run a pacifist build and avoid fights entirely. One more nice touch β€” there's no stamina bar, so a single in-game day doesn't cut you off halfway, and you have time to both farm and hit a dungeon.

Seven races and class-based professions

During character creation you pick one of seven playable races, and it's more than cosmetic β€” each starts with its own perk:

  • Human β€” starts with an expert-crafter perk that speeds up crafting.
  • Elf β€” one of the oldest races, attuned to the flow of life energy.
  • Amari β€” beast-like humanoids with traits of cats, foxes, wolves and more.
  • Naga β€” get special hoods and a fin in place of legs.
  • Elemental β€” ethereal beings made of flame or flowing water.
  • Angel β€” winged humanoids with halos.
  • Demon β€” start with a Shadow Rush ability for a sharp burst of speed.

On top of your race sits a profession that sets your starting bonuses and playstyle, from a fighter to a crafting-focused farmer. There are enough combinations to replay the game several times with a very different character.

Three towns, three moods

The world of Sun Haven isn't limited to a single village. Beyond the sunny town of Sun Haven you gradually unlock other settlements, each with its own art style, residents and story β€” a darker city, elven lands and more. Every region has its own quests, romance candidates (marriage included) and secrets. Update 1.4 added new marriage candidates and an underwater area, so the game keeps growing.

Co-op for up to 8 players

You don't have to build the farm alone. A single Sun Haven session supports up to 8 players working the same farm: planting together, exploring dungeons and decorating the homestead. As of now co-op is available on PC (Windows). Keep in mind the main thing: every player needs their own copy β€” this gift activates on one account, not a whole group at once.

How the Steam gift delivery works

We deliver this as a Steam Gift through the supplier's bot. We need two things from you: your Steam profile friend-invite link and the region (country) of your account. After that it's automatic:

  • The bot adds itself as your friend β€” you don't need to accept anything.
  • It sends the Sun Haven gift to your account.
  • Once delivered, the bot removes itself from your friends list.

Steam Guard is not required β€” the gift arrives without it. The game doesn't need to already be on your account, and no prior activity is needed. Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes after checkout, though we don't make hard timing promises β€” it's a live service and rare delays happen.

About region β€” the key condition

The main rule for accepting any Steam gift: your Steam account region must match the gift region. If they don't match, Steam simply won't let you accept it, so enter your real account country at checkout. And one more thing: Sun Haven must not already be in your library β€” Steam won't accept a gift for a game you already own. That's the number-one reason gifts fail, so check your library beforehand.

If the genre clicks with you

Love cozy farms and warm small-town stories? Then take a look at our other listings in the genre. The classic that started it all is Stardew Valley; for a bright tropical farmer with underwater sections there's Coral Island; and if you want a farming sim leaning into crafting and town-building, check out My Time at Sandrock. They all land well with anyone who enjoyed the rhythm of Sun Haven.

The short version

The gift is permanent β€” a full copy you own, not a rental or subscription. The game runs on Windows and feels great on modern PCs. You don't need a VPN to bypass region locking: your account region just has to match the gift region. And all your farm, leveling and relationship progress stays on your account.
