Spyro Reignited Trilogy — three purple-dragon legends in one Steam gift
Remember the cocky little dragon who torches enemies, glides over chasms and hoards gems by the handful? Spyro Reignited Trilogy is the from-the-ground-up remaster of the late-90s classic: studio Toys for Bob rebuilt all three original games on modern tech, redrew every world by hand and pushed visuals up to 4K. Published by Activision, it landed on Steam on September 3, 2019. You're buying it as a Steam gift: the whole set arrives straight on your account via our bot — nothing to activate by hand.
What's in the trilogy
The gift includes three full remasters, not demos or cut-down versions:
- Spyro the Dragon — the original that started it all: free the frozen dragons, explore floating worlds and get the hang of the signature flame-and-charge.
- Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! (Gateway to Glimmer in Europe) — more abilities, mini-games, talking characters and the villain Ripto, who wants every dragon gone.
- Spyro: Year of the Dragon — the largest of the three: new playable helper characters, even more levels and secrets.
All three games sit in one launcher: pick a title from the menu and play. Each game keeps its own save, and you can play them in any order.
How the remaster differs from the original
This is far more than touched-up textures. Toys for Bob redrew every level, re-modelled characters and animations, and added modern lighting plus support for high resolution and high FPS on capable PCs. The gameplay is preserved with care: the same platforming, the same levels, the same spirit — it just finally looks the way you remember it, not the way the first PlayStation actually rendered it. You can even switch between the new and original soundtrack — a nice touch for anyone who grew up on these tunes.
What you get and how the gift arrives
You place a Steam Gift. We need two things from you: your Steam friend invite link (s.team/p/...) and your account region. Our bot then adds itself to your friends, sends the gift, and leaves your friends list once it's delivered — no need to accept the request. Important conditions — read before buying
For Steam to accept the gift, two things must line up: your Steam account region matches the gift region, and Spyro Reignited Trilogy is not already in the library of that account (Steam won't grant a gift for a game you already own — the number-one cause of failed deliveries). Is this game for you
If you love bright 3D platformers with exploration, collectibles and an easygoing, good-natured mood, this is a direct hit. It works great for adults riding nostalgia and for kids as a first platformer. The difficulty is friendly, but a 100% run with every gem and egg gives perfectionists a real challenge. It runs on modest and powerful PCs alike; on modern hardware you can crank up resolution and smooth FPS.
Languages, controls and platform
The collection is for Steam and lands in your library like any purchased game — with cloud saves, Steam achievements and full gamepad support (a controller feels best, though mouse and keyboard work too). Interface and subtitles are available in English, Russian and several other languages, with English voice-over. It runs on Steam Deck and Windows PCs; on modern hardware you can push resolution up to 4K and uncap the frame rate. Because you receive an actual gift on your own account, the game stays yours forever — it's not a rental or a subscription.
A few words on completion
Each world is a compact sandbox with portals to sub-levels. The goal is to gather gems, free dragons (in the first game), recover stolen eggs (in the third) and beat bosses. There's no rush: follow the story, or clean everything out for 100%. The signature mechanics — flame, the horn charge and the mid-jump glide — take five minutes to learn, after which the joy of exploration kicks in. Year of the Dragon adds playable companions with their own mini-levels, so the variety only grows toward the end of the trilogy.
