Soundpad is a small but iconic Steam app from the studio Leppsoft. It does one thing, and it does it well: it plays any audio file straight into your voice chat, so not only you but everyone in the conversation can hear it. A meme clip in the heat of a round, an intro jingle in Discord, a sound effect at the perfect moment of a raid — it all goes into the mic channel as if it came from your own voice. What Soundpad actually does

Unlike a regular media player, Soundpad hooks into your recording device (usually your microphone) and doesn't ask you to install extra virtual sound cards or wrestle with audio routing. You add your sounds to a list and they become available in any app with voice: Discord, TeamSpeak, Mumble, Skype, as well as inside games like Counter-Strike, Dota 2 or PUBG. No complicated setup — the app simply extends your default mic.

Once you accept it, it shows up in your library, updates through Steam and stays yours indefinitely. Family Sharing is supported at the Steam level, and the interface is translated into dozens of languages.

How we deliver the gift

Delivery goes through our bot and asks almost nothing of you. You provide your Steam friend-invite link and your account region — that's enough. The bot then adds itself as your friend, sends the gift, and removes itself from your friends after delivery. You don't need to accept the friend request, and Steam Guard isn't required — the gift arrives fine even on an account without it. The whole thing usually takes a couple of minutes from checkout, though we don't promise a strict timing — occasionally it runs a bit longer.

Region and library — two important conditions

The gift is sent for accounts from the supported regions — 47 in total. For Steam to accept the gift, two things must line up. First, your Steam account region must match the gift region — that's why we ask for your country/region at checkout. Second, Soundpad must not already be in the library of the receiving account: Steam won't let you accept a gift for a product you already own. If you've bought or received Soundpad on this account before, pick another one. One more thing: your profile privacy settings must allow friend requests, otherwise the bot can't reach you.

What it runs on

Soundpad is a Windows app (version 7 and newer). It extends the Windows recording device, so it doesn't run natively on macOS, and there's no official support on Linux or Steam Deck. You'll receive and can accept the gift either way, but plan to run the app on a Windows PC.
