SOS OPS! โ the co-op comedy where rescuers cause chaos
SOS OPS! is a multiplayer game about a crew of emergency responders solving urgent tasks in the most ridiculous way imaginable. Put out fires, rescue cats from trees, defend the town and unload furniture โ all on ragdoll physics where every move threatens to turn into mayhem. The game says it plainly: success here isn't measured by completed levels, but by how loudly you're laughing. With us you buy SOS OPS! as a Steam Gift that a bot sends straight to your account.
What the game is and why it's fun
Developer ArtDock and publisher Dreland Enterprises released SOS OPS! on November 30, 2023. It's an arcade physics comedy in the spirit of Human Fall Flat and Wobbly Life: characters flop around like ragdolls, tools behave unpredictably, and every "rescue operation" easily spirals into friendly chaos. Inside you'll find a mission campaign, character customization, 38 Steam achievements and trading cards.
The heart of the game is co-op. SOS OPS! supports online play for up to 4 players, LAN, shared/split screen, and Remote Play Together โ so you can invite a friend even if only you own a copy. Want to brawl instead of saving cats? There's PvP with five arenas where you set the rules yourself: time limits, frag goals, an endless mode and weapon spawn rates.
What's in the base version
This lot is the full base game of SOS OPS!, not an add-on. You get all the core modes: co-op missions, PvP arenas, and local and online multiplayer for up to four people. That's everything you need to gather a group and sink into an evening โ no mandatory DLC required to start.
The game does have separate paid add-ons โ GUNS N' OPS, TRIALS, BACKROOMS and a digital artbook. Those are optional extras for the base game: they need SOS OPS! itself to work. This product contains no add-ons โ just the base version, which is plenty for the full experience.
How we deliver the gift
SOS OPS! arrives as a Steam Gift via the bot of our supplier FZR. The flow is simple and fuss-free:
- You provide your Steam friend invite link and your account region.
- The bot adds itself as your friend โ no need to accept the request.
- It sends the gift (usually within a couple of minutes after checkout).
- You accept the gift in Steam, the game lands in your library, and after delivery the bot removes itself from friends.
Steam Guard isn't required โ the gift goes through even on an account without it. The only thing that matters is that your privacy settings allow friend requests.
Region and ownership โ the two key conditions
For Steam to accept the gift, two conditions must line up. First: your Steam account region must match the gift region, otherwise the system simply won't let you activate it. Second: your account must not already own SOS OPS! โ a gift can't be accepted for a game you already have, and that's the number one reason it fails. If you already own a copy, send the gift to a friend's account that doesn't have it.
What it runs on
SOS OPS! officially ships on Windows only (versions 7โ11, 64-bit). The developer lists no native macOS or Linux support, and there's no separate Steam Deck check, so the game isn't verified on Deck. The system requirements are modest, though: this is a light arcade title, not a heavy AAA project, and it runs comfortably on an ordinary gaming PC, so you can throw a party even on a budget machine without a powerful graphics card.
If you love this kind of chaos
SOS OPS! is a great pick for fans of co-op physics madness. If this one clicked, check out the genre classic Human Fall Flat with its physics puzzles, the odd-jobs sandbox Wobbly Life, and if you want even more of the same chaos from the same authors, there's the sequel SOS OPS! 2. All three are about laughing with friends rather than serious gameplay.
Quick answers
It's a gift, not a key code. No Steam Guard needed. For online play each player needs their own copy, while shared screen and Remote Play Together let two people play from one. Account region = gift region, and the game must not already be in your library. If the bot didn't add you, it's almost always closed friend requests or an expired invite link.
