Solarpunk: cozy survival under the sun and airship sails
Solarpunk is a breath of fresh air in the survival-craft genre. No ash, no mutants, no constant threat of death: instead of the usual apocalypse you get a bright, high-tech future where islands float in the sky, energy comes from sun and wind, and your goal isn't to survive against the world but to make it cozier. With this Steam gift you buy from us, you build a home, plant a garden, tame little creatures and rise into the clouds aboard your own airship — alone or with up to four people.
What kind of game it is
Developed by Cyberwave and published by rokaplay and Metaroot, Solarpunk launched on June 8, 2026. It's an open-world survival craft with a strong cozy lean: relaxed pace, soft visuals, and a focus on building rather than fighting. You gather resources, craft gadgets, set up automation with transport drones, place solar panels, wind turbines and water generators — and gradually turn a bare patch of land into a flourishing base. When you want more, you board your airship and sail to neighbouring floating islands for new resources and views.
Why Solarpunk stands out
The core hook is its atmosphere of hope. Solarpunk as a movement sets itself against bleak cyberpunk: instead of a neon dystopia, you get green technology, light and harmony between people and nature. The game honours that idea. You're not fending off waves of enemies; you want to settle in, decorate your home, raise crops and animals, and run clean energy. It's survival for players tired of in-game stress who crave a creative kind of calm — but with real crafting, farming and exploration mechanics, not just a meditation simulator.
Co-op for up to 4 players
Solarpunk plays fully in online co-op: up to four people build, farm and fly airships in one shared world. You can split the roles — one handles energy, another the farms, someone scouts new islands. One important note: there's no cross-play between platforms, so for joint play everyone needs the Steam version. Buying the gift from us gets you exactly that PC Steam build, which connects with your Steam friends.
What's in the gift
You receive the full base game of Solarpunk for PC (Windows) — the single standard edition available today. It includes all the launch content: base building and decoration, farming and animal care, crafting and resource gathering, energy generation (solar, wind, water), drone automation, airship exploration, handcrafted islands and Steam achievements. Companion items — a story novel and the official artbook — are separate products and are not part of this gift; they don't affect the full game.
How we deliver the gift
This isn't a key — it's a Steam Gift sent straight to your account. The flow is simple: you provide your friend invite link (s.team/p/...) and your Steam account region, place the order, and then our bot adds itself as your friend, sends the gift, and leaves your friend list after delivery. You don't need to accept the friend request — the bot does everything itself. Delivery usually takes just a couple of minutes, though that's not a strict guarantee: sometimes it's a little longer.
Region and ownership — the two key conditions
Steam gifts follow two rules worth knowing up front. First: your Steam account region must match the gift region. If they differ, Steam simply won't let you accept it. So pick the option for your region and enter your country honestly in the order field. Second: Solarpunk must not already be in the recipient account's library. Steam won't allow accepting a gift for a game you already own — that's the most common reason a gift "won't accept." Send it to an account that doesn't have the game yet. Steam Guard isn't required, but your profile settings must allow friend requests — otherwise the bot can't reach you.
If something goes wrong
The most common snag is the bot failing to add you. Usually it's a private profile or disabled friend requests, or an expired invite link — those links only live for a limited time. Check your profile privacy, generate a fresh s.team/p/... link and send it to us — we'll help get the gift into your library. Failures in this kind of delivery are rare, and we try to resolve them quickly.
System requirements and platform
Solarpunk released on PC (Steam, Windows) as well as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. We sell the Steam PC version specifically — it lands in your Steam library like any normally purchased game and updates through the client. If you play on Steam Deck or Linux, check the current compatibility status on the game's Steam page, as it may be refined after launch.

If cozy co-op survival is your thing, take a look at neighbouring titles too: Valheim — a harsher but also co-op survival with building; Grounded — four-player co-op crafting with a strong exploration focus; and Stardew Valley — the gold standard of relaxed farming and creation. Solarpunk sits nicely between them: calmer than combat-heavy survival games, yet richer in mechanics than a pure farming sim.
Grab Solarpunk as a gift — we'll carefully deliver the game to your Steam, and you choose: build your floating island solo, or gather a crew of up to four and create a sunny future together. 🌞
