SnowRunner: heavy off-roading where mud is the real enemy
SnowRunner is an off-road vehicle simulator by Saber Interactive, published by Focus Entertainment, and a direct successor to the MudRunner and Spintires line. There are no races or shootouts here: you drive heavy trucks, log haulers and all-terrain rigs that sink into churned ruts, ford icy rivers and spin out on snowy mountain passes. Every haul is a small engineering puzzle β which truck to take, where to anchor the winch, which gear to crawl in so you don't bury the axles. Buying a Steam Gift from us drops the game straight into your Steam library.
What the game is and why it pulls you in
SnowRunner launched on 28 April 2020 and arrived on Steam on 18 May 2021. It features more than 40 real licensed vehicles and over a dozen open maps, from the muddy forests of Michigan and Alaska to the Siberian taiga. The trucks feel heavy and full of inertia: you sense the weight of the trailer, the wheels slipping, the moment the ground stops holding. Mud, water and snow each behave differently, and the same road can turn into an impassable bog after rain. This isn't a five-minute game β it's long, almost meditative hauls where simply reaching the drop point already feels like a win.
Base version or the 1-Year Anniversary Edition
We offer two options, pick one for your appetite:
- SnowRunner (base version) β the game itself with the full starter fleet and regions. The ideal entry point if you want to taste the off-road mechanics first.
- SnowRunner β 1-Year Anniversary Edition β the same game plus the complete Year 1 Pass. That bundles four content seasons: Search & Recover, Explore & Expand, Locate & Deliver and New Frontiers β new regions, vehicles, contracts and tasks. It also adds a cosmetics set: the High Roller Pack with the Khan 39 scout, the Sabertooth Livery and vinyl wraps (Loaded Dice, Scorched, True Colors).
In short: the base is for trying it out, the Anniversary one is for the long haul, with far more maps and machinery from the first year of support.
How we deliver the gift
Delivery is done via Steam Gift using our bot. You provide the friend-invite link from your Steam profile (s.team/p/...) and your account region. The bot then adds itself to your friends, sends the gift, and leaves your friends list after delivery β you don't have to accept anything manually. Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes from checkout. Steam Guard is not required β the gift goes through even on an account without it.
Two conditions Steam needs to accept the gift
For the gift to go smoothly, keep two things in mind. First, your Steam account region must match the gift region β otherwise Steam simply won't let you redeem it. Second, SnowRunner must not already be in the library of that account: you can't accept a gift for a game you already own, and this is the most common reason for failure. Also make sure your profile privacy settings allow friend requests, or the bot won't be able to reach you.
System requirements and platforms
The Steam version runs on Windows PC. It's not the lightest game due to the detailed ground and water simulation, but it runs comfortably on a modern mid-range system. SnowRunner does launch on Steam Deck, though because of the controls and long hauls many players prefer a proper gamepad or wheel on a big screen.
If you love the mud, check these too
SnowRunner is part of Saber Interactive's larger off-road universe. If it clicks, look at its relatives: MudRunner β the previous, more compact and hardcore entry; Expeditions: A MudRunner Game β a fresher spin-off about scientific expeditions and exploration; and from the neighbouring long-haul genre, Euro Truck Simulator 2 if you'd rather have tarmac and calm trips across Europe.
The short version of buying
Pick the option you want, leave your invite link and region, place the order β and within a couple of minutes SnowRunner is waiting in your library. After that it's the easy part: choose your first truck and learn that the straight road here is almost never the fastest one.
