Slay the Spire 2 is the sequel to Mega Crit's legendary deckbuilding roguelike: build your deck, climb the Spire and crush foes with clever combos. The sequel adds five heroes (three returning, two new), up to 4-player co-op and an engine rebuilt from scratch. You get the game as a Steam gift straight to your account. 🃏

Slay the Spire 2: a new climb up the Spire

If you lost whole nights to the first game shuffling decks and relics, then Slay the Spire 2 is exactly the game worth losing sleep over again. It's the direct sequel to the cult deckbuilding roguelike by Mega Crit, released into Steam Early Access on March 5, 2026. The formula is the same and just as addictive: build a deck of cards, climb the floors of the Spire, fight enemies and bosses, stack relics, and rebuild your run from scratch every time. But under the hood the sequel has been rebuilt from the ground up.

What's new compared to the first game

The headline addition is online co-op for up to 4 players. Now you can climb the Spire as a group: you plot your path on the map together, share potions, and watch each other's fights in real time. Co-op comes with its own cards and team synergies, so it's not just "the same thing but with four people" — it's a mode with its own tactics.

There are now five heroes: three familiar fighters from the first game return with their archetypes, joined by two newcomers with fresh mechanics. The game itself was rebuilt on the Godot engine with Spine2D animation — characters and cards move noticeably more fluidly, and the modular architecture exists in large part to support the series' first-ever multiplayer.

What Early Access means and what you get now

Slay the Spire 2 is in Early Access, and Mega Crit openly plan 1–2 years for this stage. That means the game is fully playable and content-rich right now, but more cards, events, environments and enemies will keep being added and balanced as development continues. Buying the gift now, you get the game with all its current content plus every future Early Access update at no extra cost, as soon as it ships.

How we deliver the gift

Important conditions — read before buying

Two things Steam requires before it lets you accept a gift, and these are Steam's own rules, not ours:

  • Account region = gift region. Steam won't accept the gift if your account's country doesn't match the gift region. So enter your real region at checkout and we'll match the right one.
  • You must not already own the game. You can't accept a gift for a game that's already on the account. Send the gift to one that doesn't have Slay the Spire 2 yet.

One more detail: your profile privacy settings must allow friend requests — otherwise the bot simply can't reach you. If something goes wrong (blocked requests, an expired link), we'll retry the delivery — just send a fresh s.team/p/… link.
