skate. Welcome Pack and Welcome Deluxe Pack — starter bundles for the new skate on Steam

skate. is the comeback of the legendary skateboarding series, built by Full Circle under EA: a fully free-to-play online game set in the sprawling open city of San Van (San Vansterdam). You roll the streets, chain combos, film tricks and share spots with other players in real time. The game itself costs nothing, and the Welcome Pack and Welcome Deluxe Pack are bundles of cosmetics and San Van Bucks currency you wear and spend on top of the free base. Here you grab a bundle as a Steam gift: the sender bot adds you as a friend, drops the bundle straight onto your account and leaves. Below is what each option contains, how they differ and how to claim everything without surprises.

What skate. is and where the bundles fit

This isn’t a single-player campaign but a living online city: you head out into San Van, develop your own style and tune your skater and board to taste. The free-to-play model with cross-progression across platforms means the base game is free to download and your progress isn’t tied to one device. The Welcome bundles exist so you don’t start empty-handed: you get a recognisable look and a stash of premium currency for the in-game store right away.

The bundles are add-ons, not a separate copy

Keep the order in mind: the Welcome Pack and Welcome Deluxe Pack work on top of free skate., they don’t replace it. Install the free game on the same Steam account first, then accept the gifted bundle — and the cosmetics and San Van Bucks appear in-game. You don’t buy “the game itself” separately: it’s free by default.

What’s inside the Welcome Pack

The standard starter set in a single Mocap style. It includes:

  • 6 Mocap items — the Motion Capture suit, deck, wheels, trucks and stickers in one look;
  • 2,800 San Van Bucks — premium currency for the in-game store.

A good pick if one clean set and a modest currency stash are enough for you, without paying for the larger version.

What’s inside the Welcome Deluxe Pack

The extended option for players who want more looks and currency from the start. It includes:

  • 6 Meatman items — a second cosmetic set: suit, deck, wheels, trucks and stickers in the Meatman style;
  • 6 Mocap items — the same Motion Capture set as in the regular Welcome Pack;
  • 5,900 San Van Bucks — a noticeably larger currency balance.

In short, Deluxe = two full cosmetic sets (Meatman and Mocap) and more than double the San Van Bucks. Choosing between them comes down to one question: do you want the second Meatman style and the extra currency.

San Van Bucks: what the currency is for

San Van Bucks is skate.’s premium currency for buying cosmetics and items in the San Van store: outfits, boards, accessories. The 2,800 in the standard bundle or 5,900 in Deluxe simply land on your account balance with the gift, and you spend them on whatever you like. It’s not a subscription or a season pass — the currency stays with you until you spend it.

How we deliver the bundle: a Steam gift

The bundles arrive as a Steam Gift through our supplier’s bot. The flow is short: you leave your profile friend invite link and your account region, place the order — then the bot sends the friend request itself, delivers the gift and leaves the list once done. You don’t accept the request manually: all that’s left is clicking “Accept Gift” in Steam. It usually takes a few minutes, though we don’t promise a strict timing.

Region and ownership — two key conditions

Steam won’t let you accept the gift without them. First: your account region must match the gift region — so pick the variant for your region and enter your account country honestly in the order field. If the regions don’t match, Steam rejects the transfer and the money returns to your Brawl Games balance for a reorder. Second: you must not already own this bundle — the system won’t pass a gift for an add-on you already have. The free skate. base can be installed, though — the bundles are simply bought on top of it.

Is Steam Guard required

No, Steam Guard isn’t required to receive the gift — the bot can send the bundle to an account without it. The one thing to set up in advance: allow friend requests in your profile privacy, otherwise the bot can’t reach you. No playtime or account activity is needed either.

What to do if something goes wrong

If the bot doesn’t add you, it’s almost always closed friend requests or an outdated invite link — refresh the link, open incoming requests and message us, we’ll help re-deliver. If you missed the region and Steam rejected the gift, the money isn’t lost: it returns to your balance, and you can reorder with the correct region straight away. Brawl Games promo codes and coupons, if you have any, apply at checkout.

How it works after purchase

The order of steps is simple. First, free skate. is installed on the target Steam account — you can download it from the Steam store any time and it costs nothing. Then you accept the gifted bundle, and the cosmetics along with the San Van Bucks bind to that same account: the items show up in your skater’s wardrobe and the currency lands on your balance. From there you just head into San Van, put on the new look and spend San Van Bucks on whatever caught your eye in the store. The Welcome bundles are one-time: they can’t be used twice, which is why the gift is accepted once, on an account that doesn’t already have the bundle.

If you’re just stepping into skate. and don’t want to start in the default look, the Welcome Pack gives you a complete outfit and your first currency to feel part of the city right away. If you like having a stash and options from the off, the Welcome Deluxe Pack adds the second Meatman style and a noticeably larger San Van Bucks balance — it’s the “grab extra for later” choice. Both bundles are about customisation and self-expression on the spots, not a gameplay edge: skate. stays free and fair for everyone, and the bundles only speed up your start in terms of looks and currency.
