You do not just pick a machine: you earn and upgrade it. Through the career, bikes are handed out as rewards for completed stages and become the key to the next, harder challenges. The collection you build becomes a personal museum on wheels: from light city nakeds to hopped-up litre superbikes, each with its own character in corners and under acceleration.

Career, the Tour and rivals

The core of single-player is the career in "Tour" format, split into four acts with events of every kind: championships, single races, time attacks and special challenges. A narrator introduces the over two hundred events, and ten named Rivals add spice — scripted riders with whom you build a personal feud on track. Win a stage, earn a powerful bike and open the path onward. Through the Tour you feel genuine growth: what looked like an untameable beast at the start obeys your hands like a glove a dozen races later.

Bike and rider customization

Beyond riding, RIDE 5 gives plenty of visual room: a deep livery and decal editor, tuning of the rider's gear and helmet, and cosmetic tuning of the bike itself. You can build a unique paint scheme, share it with the community and hit the track in a look nobody else has. There is a rich photo mode for striking shots, and tinkerers fuss over their machines not only in the setup garage but in the appearance workshop too.

What is new in the fifth entry

Compared with earlier games in the series, RIDE 5 pushes the visuals toward the new console generation, adds dynamic starts and more expressive AI rival behaviour. The reworked physics makes tyre response on different surfaces noticeably more honest, and the restart-and-rewind system lets you calmly dissect your own mistakes on tricky corner sequences instead of redoing a whole lap.

Race Creator and multiplayer

A special gem is the Race Creator, a flexible editor where you build your own event: set the logo, name, format and rules of the competition. RIDE 5 also brings back local two-player split-screen — for the first time since Ride 2 — so you can battle side by side on one screen. There are online modes too for those who want to measure up against live riders over the network.

Physics, weather and who it is for

RIDE 5 is no arcade: front-fork loading under braking, smooth throttle on corner exit and line choice all matter. Dynamic weather and shifting light force you to adjust your riding mid-race. At the same time the assists are flexible, so the entry bar is adjustable — from a strict simulator to a gentler mode for newcomers. If you love meticulous machine simulators, the approach of Men of War might also click — where every detail matters too, only on the battlefield. A real plus is the broad assist suite: traction control, ABS, the ideal-line guide and AI difficulty are all adjustable separately, so the learning curve bends to you rather than the other way around.

The RIDE 5 code: where to grab it and how to fire it up in Steam

After payment the Steam key is sent to the email you enter at checkout and is duplicated inside the order on the site — the code is always at hand.
