Red Dead Redemption on PC: a Steam gift with Undead Nightmare already bundled in
Red Dead Redemption is the Rockstar Games Western that many still rank as the high point of the genre. The story of John Marston β a former outlaw forced by the authorities to hunt down his old gang to get his kidnapped family back β plays out at the twilight of the Wild West in 1911. For years the game was a console exclusive, and only on 29 October 2024 did Rockstar bring it to PC, releasing it on Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Rockstar Store. What you buy here is a Steam gift of that PC version: we order it from our supplier and a bot delivers it to your account.
What the gift includes
This is the full game, not a trimmed-down build. Alongside the main campaign you immediately get Undead Nightmare β a standalone story where a zombie apocalypse sweeps the frontier: Marston searches for a cure for his infected family, guns down the undead, tames legendary spectral horses and clears out overrun towns. On PC the two modes are sold as a single package, so there's no separate zombie DLC to buy β it's already in your library next to the base game.
How the PC version differs from console
The 2024 port is more than a straight transfer. It supports native resolution up to 4K and high frame rates on capable hardware, ultrawide and super-ultrawide monitors (21:9 and 32:9), HDR10 and full mouse-and-keyboard controls. If you played Red Dead Redemption on an older console, the clarity and smoothness on PC feel like a different game. The world, the missions and the story stay exactly as people love them: the open plains of New Austin, the Mexican borderlands, hunting, gunfights built around the Dead Eye dueling system, poker mini-games and stagecoach robberies.
How the gift delivery works
Delivery runs through the FZR supplier bot, and it's hassle-free. You provide your Steam friend invite link and your account region. After payment the bot adds itself as your friend, sends the gift, and once delivered it removes itself from your friends list automatically β you don't have to accept the request manually. Steam Guard is not required for this, and neither is owning the game or having any activity on the account. The gift usually arrives within a couple of minutes of ordering, though we don't promise a strict timing β occasionally it takes longer, and in that case we see it through by hand.
Region is the key condition
A Steam gift is tied to a set of countries. For Steam to let you accept the gift, your account region must fall within the gift's region. That's why the product comes in variants with different country coverage β pick the one that covers your country and enter your account region carefully in the order fields. One more crucial Steam rule: the game must not already be in the recipient's library β you can't accept a gift for a game you already own. That's the single most common reason a gift fails, so check your library in advance.
If something goes wrong
If the bot couldn't add you as a friend, it's almost always down to privacy settings (friend invites disabled) or an expired invite link. Enable friend invites, generate a fresh s.team/p/... link and send it to us β we'll retry the delivery. Failures in this flow are rare, as with any service of this kind, and we work to resolve them quickly.
Why it's worth playing today
Despite the original's age, Red Dead Redemption holds up beautifully. It's a slow, atmospheric Western with a living open world: random encounters on the road, hunting deer and cougars, hidden treasure, showdowns in the town square and dozens of story missions that take Marston from a New Austin ranch through revolutionary Mexico to an ending players remember for years. The combat with its Dead Eye mechanic β slowing time and marking targets precisely β still feels stylish, and the soundtrack lands at exactly the right moments. On PC all of this comes with the smoothness of 60+ FPS and a crisp 4K image, so a first playthrough or a return after years looks fresh.
More to check in the catalog
If you enjoy Rockstar's Western, take a look at the sequel β Red Dead Redemption 2, a prequel with a far larger open world. And for fans of open-world crime from the same studio, Grand Theft Auto V is worth a look. Both titles are available here as digital products too.
The purchase in short
You're getting a Steam gift of the full PC version of Red Dead Redemption with Undead Nightmare included. Before ordering, make sure the game isn't in your library, your account region matches the chosen variant, and your profile allows friend invites. After that the bot does the work β all that's left is to accept the gift and saddle up.
