REANIMAL is the new dark adventure from Sweden's Tarsier Studios, the creators of the acclaimed Little Nightmares series, released by THQ Nordic on February 13, 2026. The story follows two orphaned siblings returning to their home island — once a place they knew, now warped into a rotting nightmare. Brother and sister search for their missing friends, wading through flooded houses, abandoned farms and the lairs of monsters, each bigger and more terrifying than the last. What the game is and why it grips you

If you loved the mood of Little Nightmares — the helplessness of a tiny hero in a vast hostile world, slow-burn horror without cheap jump scares, and a visual style that crawls under your skin — REANIMAL strikes the same chords, but bigger and darker. The camera here is shared and «directed»: it deliberately squeezes the space to build claustrophobia and keep the tension high. REANIMAL officially ships for Windows. On Steam Deck and Linux it generally runs through the Proton compatibility layer — how smoothly depends on its current compatibility status in Steam; the developer hasn't claimed native support.
