RAGE 2 — Steam Gift: neon mayhem across the open wasteland
RAGE 2 is a post-apocalyptic open-world first-person shooter released in 2019, built jointly by Avalanche Studios and id Software. Avalanche brings the huge living world and the driving, while id delivers that punchy, dynamic, instantly recognizable feel of shooting. The result is a wild cocktail: bright neon instead of the usual grey post-apoc gloom, dark humor, all-out action and miles of wasteland to tear across in combat vehicles, raid outposts and cause chaos.
Buying RAGE 2 here means you get the game as a Steam Gift, and below we'll cover both the game world and exactly how delivery works.
Who is Walker and what is The Wasteland
You play as Walker, the last ranger of The Wasteland. After your home is wiped off the map, you're left alone in an insane world filled with mutants and ruthless gangs: Ghouls, Goon Squad, Shrouded and other lovers of violence. Above it all looms The Authority, led by General Cross, the main antagonist who dreams of bending the survivors to his will. Your job is to gather allies, power up and blow his plans to pieces.
The RAGE 2 world doesn't lock you into boring corridors: it's an open space with regions, outposts, races, stashes and random encounters. Follow the story if you want, or veer off and clear out another den whenever you feel like it.
Nanotrites and superpowers
The core hook of combat is nanotrites, which grant Walker superpowers. Dash instantly closes the gap or pulls you out of fire, telekinesis scatters enemies, Overdrive boosts your damage, and the Ground Pound slams you down with a destructive shockwave. These abilities combine with weapons so that every fight becomes constant movement: you don't camp in cover, you fly into the thick of it, juggle your powers and literally dance among enemies.
On top of that sits id Software's signature gunplay. Every gun feels heavy and mean, with recoil and enemy reactions tuned so that shooting is simply satisfying. Weapons and skills upgrade over time, unlocking new mods and play styles.
Open world, vehicles and outposts
The RAGE 2 wasteland is built for speed. Combat vehicles, from buggies to heavy monsters, let you crush enemies on the road, join races and dash between points of interest. Authority outposts, bandit camps, convoys and anomalies are scattered across the map, giving you a reason to leave the main path again and again. This is a game about momentum: spot some action on the horizon, drive over, get stuck in, set off fireworks.
Editions: Standard and Deluxe
Two editions are available in the catalog. Standard (sub_id 135599) is the base RAGE 2 game with all the core content. The Deluxe Edition (sub_id 352130) adds a bonus pack of materials: extra kits, the Wasteland Wizard cheat room and other nice extras for those who want a bit more from the start. If you're new to the series, grab Standard; if you want the maximum content, look toward Deluxe.
How Steam Gift delivery works
Here RAGE 2 is delivered as a Steam Gift, and the process is dead simple. After payment our bot will add you as a friend or send the gift directly, then leave. You don't need to send or accept a friend request manually, the bot does it all. Steam Guard is not required to receive the gift: you get the gift in Steam and accept it onto your account. Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes.
To make sure everything goes smoothly, check two things. First, your Steam account region must match the gift region, which is a mandatory condition for accepting it. Second, RAGE 2 must not already be in your library, otherwise the gift won't go through. Price depends on the chosen edition and region, so check the current values on the page.
Who RAGE 2 is for
If you love a fast, aggressive open-world shooter and don't mind a dose of madness, RAGE 2 is well worth your attention. Fans of pure gunplay will enjoy DOOM, while those who love open worlds with guns and vehicles should check out Far Cry 5 and the cheeky gang action of Saints Row. Pick your RAGE 2 edition, grab the Steam Gift and dive into the wasteland — the Authority won't topple itself.
