Planet Coaster 2 is the sequel to Frontier's beloved theme park builder. Design coasters piece by piece, pour water parks with pools and slides, and balance economy with guest happiness. Planet Coaster 2 is the second installment of the acclaimed theme park simulator from British studio Frontier Developments, released on November 6, 2024. Where the first game was all about coasters built down to the last support beam, the sequel adds a whole new dimension — water. Now you don't just build a ride park, you build a full resort with pools, water slides, lazy rivers and wave pools. It also brings a reworked editor, smarter crowd physics and a far deeper economy. What's new compared to the first game

The headline addition is water parks. Planet Coaster 2 merges classic ride parks and aquatic complexes into a single project, which reshapes how you plan: guests need changing rooms, loungers, rest areas and food spots near the water. Crowd management is smarter — visitors react to heat, queues, cleanliness and scenery. The path editor is overhauled: walkways, plazas and queues draw more freely, and terrain and scenery support much finer tuning. Coasters are still assembled piece by piece with full control over every turn, drop and special effect.

Which editions we deliver

This card has two variants, both the complete game:

  • Standard Edition — the base Planet Coaster 2 with the full building toolkit, campaign, sandbox and water parks. That's everything you need to build a park of any complexity.
  • Deluxe Edition — the same plus the Vintage Funfair Ride Pack: 10 retro funfair-style rides for those who love the atmosphere of old amusement parks. Deluxe doesn't gate anything from Standard — it's simply an extra pack of vintage rides.

Deluxe once shipped with a Bonus Ride Collection pre-order perk (three extra rides), but that was a time-limited pre-order promo around the 2024 launch — go by the durable contents, i.e. the Vintage Funfair Ride Pack itself.

How the gift delivery works

No keys here: Planet Coaster 2 is sent to you as a Steam Gift straight to your account. The flow is simple and safe:

  • You provide a Steam friend invite link (s.team/p/...) and your account region.
  • Our bot adds itself as your friend — you don't need to accept the request.
  • The bot sends the gift, usually within a couple of minutes after checkout.
  • You accept the gift in Steam, the game lands in your library, and the bot removes itself from your friends after delivery.

Steam Guard is not required, and the account doesn't need any prior activity or other games. The only thing that matters is that friend requests are allowed in your profile settings.

Gift region — what to watch for

Steam only accepts a gift when your account region matches the gift's region. So at checkout, enter your region honestly — and pick the variant that matches it. One more key condition: Planet Coaster 2 must not already be in your account's library. Steam simply won't let you accept a gift for a game you already own — that's the most common reason a gift fails to go through.
