Persona 5 Royal for Steam: the definitive edition of a legendary JRPG, delivered as a gift
Persona 5 Royal isn't just another Japanese RPG โ it's one of the highest-rated JRPGs of its generation. Atlus took the original Persona 5 and rebuilt it into the โRoyalโ version: a whole new third semester, a new heroine named Kasumi Yoshizawa, the mysterious counselor Takuto Maruki, the new Kichijoji district and dozens of hours of fresh story. On Steam this edition launched on October 21, 2022 and is regarded as the final, most complete version of the game. Here you buy it as a Steam gift โ we send the game straight to your account through a bot.
What Persona 5 Royal is about
You play a high-schooler transferred to a Tokyo school on probation after a false accusation. By day it's ordinary teenage life: classes, part-time jobs, friends, exams and relationships. By night you and your crew โ the Phantom Thieves of Hearts โ infiltrate โPalaces,โ distorted worlds inside the subconscious of corrupt adults, and steal the source of their vices to make them confess. That double life is the signature Persona loop: you literally balance a slick high-school life sim with a turn-based dungeon crawler built around โpersonasโ โ summoned beings drawn from the depths of the psyche.
What the Royal version adds
If you've already finished the original Persona 5, Royal gives you a strong reason to return. The headline addition is the third semester: an entirely new story arc that unlocks near the end and reshapes the finale. It comes with:
- Kasumi Yoshizawa โ a new party member with her own story and combat style;
- Takuto Maruki โ a school counselor at the center of the new intrigue;
- the new Kichijoji district with darts, billiards and a jazz club;
- a grappling hook for Palace exploration, new personas and new endings;
- rebalanced combat, extra scenes and quality-of-life improvements.
What's in the Steam version
The Steam release of Persona 5 Royal is the complete edition. It already bundles over 40 formerly paid DLC items: alternate Phantom Thieves outfits (including nods to past series entries and other Atlus games), extra personas, item and money packs, and battle music. You don't need to buy anything separately โ it's all available right away in a single delivery. The game is not fully localized into Russian; the main languages are English and Japanese with English subtitles, and the interface supports several European languages.
How we deliver the gift
This is a Steam Gift, not a key. You provide your Steam friend invite link and your account region, and our bot handles the rest: it adds itself as your friend, sends the gift, and automatically leaves your friends list after delivery. You don't have to accept a friend request manually. The whole thing usually takes a couple of minutes from checkout. Steam Guard is not required โ the gift arrives fine even on an account without it.
Key condition: region and library
For Steam to accept the gift, two things must line up. First, your Steam account region must match the gift region โ otherwise the system simply won't let you activate it. Second, Persona 5 Royal must not already be in your library: Steam won't let you accept a gift for a game you already own. Your account region is easy to check in your Steam store settings. If you're unsure, message us before ordering and we'll help.
Should you start with Royal
If you're new to the series โ yes, start with Royal: it's the most complete and polished version of the fifth game, and there's no point buying the original. If you want to keep exploring the Persona universe afterwards, check out the story sequel Persona 5 Strikers with its musou-style action combat, the tactics spin-off Persona 5 Tactica, and the remake of the previous entry Persona 3 Reload โ all of which continue and expand Atlus's signature style.
Technical notes
Persona 5 Royal on PC is Steam Deck Verified โ it runs comfortably on the handheld with no tweaking. On a regular PC it's a light title: its bold stylized art matters more than heavy rendering, so it'll run on almost any modern system. It supports both gamepad and keyboard-and-mouse.
