PAYDAY 3: the heist of the century in four-player co-op
PAYDAY 3 is the direct sequel to the cult heist series from Swedish studio Starbreeze. You put on the mask of one of the legendary robbers again and go to work: the banks, jewelers, galleries and vaults of New York are waiting for a crew. You can run it clean as clockwork — disabling cameras, hiding guards and walking out with the loot before anyone notices. Or you can kick the doors in with a shotgun once the alarm is already blaring and turn it into a full-blown firefight against the police response teams. What makes PAYDAY 3 shine is that both styles are alive and both genuinely work.

What each edition includes
The catalog has two PAYDAY 3 versions, and both contain the base game — pick by how much content you want up front.
- PAYDAY 3 (Standard) — the game itself: the starting set of heists, weapons, skills and the whole co-op core. That's enough to gather your friends and start robbing today.
- PAYDAY 3: Year 1 Edition — the base game plus the Year 1 Pass. The pass bundles four major first-year DLC heists: Syntax Error, Boys in Blue, Houston Breakout and Fear & Greed. Each adds a new heist, weapons and cosmetics. On top of that come the outfit packs (Preacher, Drifter, Heavy Hitter, Assassin), the Dark Sterling and Skull of Liberty masks, Golden Slate gloves and the Island skin.
Quiet or loud — your kind of heist
The core of PAYDAY 3 is freedom of approach. Stealth lives on reconnaissance: you study guard routes, hide in plain sight, forge keycards and pick locks while your crew watches the perimeter. One slip and the heist turns into a shootout. The loud route is a completely different game: waves of police, armored squads, smoke grenades and a desperate dash to the escape point with bags of cash. The best runs are the ones where the plan falls apart halfway through and the crew pulls off the score anyway.
Co-op for up to four players
PAYDAY 3 is built around a crew of four robbers. Roles shift on the fly: someone hauls loot, someone manages hostages, someone covers the retreat. Progression is shared across every mode — you level up skills, unlock weapons and attachments, and build the perfect loadout for your playstyle. You can also play solo with bots, but the real joy of the PAYDAY series has always been the coordinated (or not so coordinated) work of a live team.
Arsenal, builds and outfits
Between heists you tinker in the workshop: you assemble guns from modules, swap sights, suppressors and magazines, and tune each weapon for a silent extraction or a loud meat grinder. The skill system is built around perk cards that activate during a heist, letting you craft narrow specializations like a hacker, an assault breacher or a silent ghost. And the cosmetics — masks, gloves, outfits — are the series' signature: your mask should look as bold as the heist itself. Year 1 Edition gives you noticeably more of that thanks to the pass packs.
How we deliver the gift
Delivery goes through Steam Gift. We need two things from you: your friend invite link (open your Steam profile → “Add Friend” → copy the link that looks like s.team/p/...) and your Steam account region. The bot handles the rest: it adds itself, sends the gift, and leaves your friends list once it's delivered. You don't need to accept the friend request, and Steam Guard isn't required either. The gift usually arrives within a couple of minutes of checkout.
Region and library — two key conditions
For Steam to let you accept the gift, two things have to line up. First: your account region matches the gift region — otherwise the system simply won't accept it. Second: PAYDAY 3 must not already be in this account's library — a gift can't land on a game you already own. So enter your region carefully and check that the account doesn't have the game yet. If the bot couldn't add you, it's almost always disabled friend requests or an expired link: enable friend requests, send a fresh link, and we'll resend.
If you love the PAYDAY series and co-op shooters
Fans should check out PAYDAY 2 — the previous entry with a huge volume of heists and content that players still love for its variety. If you want hardcore team survival with the same co-op tension, take a look at GTFO, and for pure four-player action against the hordes, Left 4 Dead 2. All three land perfectly with the same crew that gathered to rob banks in PAYDAY 3.
