What's inside: the crew, masks and Crime.net

The heart of PAYDAY 2 is Crime.net, the city map where you pick contracts. The riskier the heist, the bigger the payout. The base game brings the classic crew — Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains — and access to dozens of heists, from quick jewelry-store grabs to multi-day operations with casing, drilling safes and hauling the loot out.

  • 4-player co-op. PAYDAY 2 is built to play with friends: roles, split tasks, covering each other, and that rush when the plan falls apart and you have to improvise.
  • Stealth or assault. Many heists can be done silently — disable cameras, take out guards, leave unseen. Or strap on heavy armor and go loud.
  • Deep progression. Skill trees, perk decks, weapon and mask customization — you gradually build your perfect robber.

This is the base game — enough to play co-op and run the starter set of heists. Over the years PAYDAY 2 has released a huge amount of paid DLC with new heists, weapon packs and characters — those are not included in this copy, but you can buy them separately on Steam whenever you want to expand your arsenal and to-do list.
