Overwatch 2 Invasion Bundle: what it is and how to get it as a gift

Overwatch 2 is Blizzard's team-based hero shooter, where two squads clash in fast firefights and the outcome hinges on ability combos and ultimates. The game itself is free, but its richest story content and cosmetics arrive as separate bundles. One of the headliners is the Invasion Bundle, released alongside the Invasion season on August 10, 2023. We sell that bundle here as a Steam gift: it lands straight on your account, with no keys and no manual code activation.

What's inside the Invasion Bundle

The Invasion Bundle isn't a standalone copy of the game — it's an add-on layered on top of free Overwatch 2. It includes:

• Permanent access to the co-op Invasion Story Missions — three large missions set in Rio de Janeiro, Toronto and Gothenburg, where a team of four pushes back the Null Sector robot invasion. It's a full PvE campaign with objectives across big maps, not a short event.
• 1,000 Overwatch Coins — the in-game currency you can spend on the premium Battle Pass or shop cosmetics.
• The Vigilante Legendary skin for Sojourn — an exclusive look for the hero introduced in Overwatch 2.

Do you need Overwatch 2 itself

Yes, but you don't pay for it — Overwatch 2 is free to play. Before receiving the gift, just install the game from Steam on the account the bundle will go to. Invasion layers on top and instantly unlocks the Story Missions, coins and skin. If the game isn't installed yet, the bundle still binds to the account, but you'll only be able to launch the content once Overwatch 2 is installed.

How we deliver it: a Steam gift, no keys

We don't send an activation code — the bundle arrives as an actual Steam gift via our bot. The flow is simple:

• You provide your Steam friend invite link (grab it from your profile: “Add Friend” → copy the s.team/p/... link).
• The bot adds itself as your friend — you don't need to accept anything, it handles everything.
• The bot sends the gift, you accept it in Steam, and the bundle appears in Overwatch 2.
• Once delivered, the bot removes itself from your friends list automatically.

Steam Guard isn't required — the gift can be sent to an account without it. Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes after checkout, but it isn't a strict deadline: occasionally it takes a little longer.

Account region is the key condition

Steam gifts are region-sensitive. Your Steam account region must match the bundle region you pick from the list of options — otherwise Steam simply won't let you accept the gift. So choose the variant for your region. The second must-have: the account must not already own the Invasion Bundle — Steam won't accept a gift for content you already have, and that's the number-one cause of failed deliveries.

If something goes wrong

If the bot didn't add you, it's almost always because friend requests are disabled in your profile privacy settings or the invite link expired. Enable friend requests, refresh the link and message us — we'll see the delivery through. Hiccups in services like this are rare, but when they happen we work to fix them quickly.

Why the Invasion Story Missions matter

Before the Invasion bundle, Overwatch 2's story lived mostly in cinematics and the odd event. Invasion delivered the first large-scale PvE campaign: Null Sector omnics strike cities worldwide while a squad of heroes — Sojourn, Winston, Tracer, Reaper and others — pushes back. The missions in Rio de Janeiro, Toronto and Gothenburg play out as proper levels with escorts, point defenses and bosses, not a regular match. It's four-player co-op where positioning and role coverage matter as much as aim. Once you clear them they stay with you for good — they're part of the bundle, not a limited-time event.

Why a gift is handier than a key

Bundles like Invasion don't ship with separate activation keys on Steam — they're sold as items inside the Steam store. So the only honest way to transfer them between accounts is a Steam gift. You don't type anything by hand or hunt for “where do I paste the code”: the bundle simply arrives on the account and stays bound to it permanently.
