Overcooked! 2: kitchen chaos that tests your friendship
Overcooked! 2 is a co-op cooking game from Ghost Town Games and Team17, released in August 2018. The idea is brilliantly simple: two, three or four of you step up to the stove and try to cook and serve a flood of dishes before the timer runs out. In practice it turns into joyful shouting, swapped plates and pans on fire. Here you buy a Steam gift: our bot delivers the game straight to your account, and it lands in your library like any normal purchase.
What kind of game this actually is
The heart of Overcooked! 2 is cramped space and tight timing. The kitchens are alive and out to get you: rafts bob on the water, halves of the kitchen drive off on separate trucks, portals open between stations, and the floor keeps shifting under your feet. You chop ingredients, toss them in the pot, remember to pull them off the heat before they burn, wash plates and sprint to the serving window. One person freezes and the whole line stalls. That's exactly why it shines with a group: the win goes not to the fastest cook but to the most coordinated team.
Co-op in person and online
Unlike the first game, Overcooked! 2 added full online co-op β now you can cook with friends over the internet, not just on one couch. It supports up to four players, locally and online. There's also a throwing mechanic: you can toss ingredients across gaps and obstacles to your partner, opening up new tactics (and new reasons to argue when the tomato flies past). A single-player mode lets you control two chefs by switching between them β but honestly, the magic of the game comes alive in company.
Base version vs Gourmet Edition β which to pick
We offer two gift options. The base version is Overcooked! 2 itself with all the core campaign kitchens: already dozens of levels and hours of chaos. The Gourmet Edition is the complete package: the base game plus all four major DLC packs and a chef pack. In short: want to try it β grab the base; want all the content with no extra buys β grab Gourmet. Important: the Gourmet Edition already includes the base game, you don't need to buy it separately.
What's inside the Gourmet Edition
- Overcooked! 2 β the base game.
- Surf 'n' Turf β beach kitchens with new levels and recipes.
- Campfire Cook Off β outdoor campfire cooking, hauling camping gear around.
- Night of the Hangry Horde β a Halloween pack with a horde-defense mode against hungry undead.
- Carnival of Chaos β carnival kitchens with rides and new dishes.
- Too Many Cooks Pack β a pack of extra chefs. The full edition ends up with a sizeable crowd of playable characters.
All of these DLC packs launched back in 2018β2019, so this isn't "future" content β it's available right after you activate the Gourmet Edition.
How the gift delivery works
The mechanic is simple. You provide your Steam friend invite link and your account region, you pay β and our bot adds itself as your friend and sends the gift. You don't need to accept the friend request; the bot handles everything and automatically leaves your friends list after delivery. Steam Guard is not required for this. Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes from checkout. All that's left is to accept the gift in Steam β and Overcooked! 2 appears in your library.
Two conditions the gift can't skip
Steam gifts follow two hard platform rules, and it's worth checking them in advance:
- Region matches. Your Steam account region must match the gift region β otherwise Steam simply won't let you accept it. So enter your real region at checkout and pick the matching variant.
- The game isn't in your library yet. Steam won't let you accept a gift for a game you already own. The receiving account must not have Overcooked! 2 in its library.
One more thing: your profile settings must allow friend requests, otherwise the bot can't reach you. If something goes wrong, it's usually blocked friend requests or an expired invite link; refresh the link and message us.
If cooking under pressure is your thing
Overcooked! 2 is the perfect entry into the "co-op chaos" genre. If it grabs you, check out related games: the original Overcooked!, the Overcooked! All You Can Eat collection that remasters both games, and Moving Out β the same kind of frantic Team17 co-op, except instead of cooking you haul couches through windows together. They're all about one thing: laughter, panic and teamwork.
The short version
You get a Steam gift of Overcooked! 2 β either the base version or the Gourmet Edition with all the DLC. Delivery via bot, no Steam Guard, usually within a couple of minutes. The key things are matching your account region to the gift and not already owning the game. Round up your friends, grab the ladles and get ready for the friendliest argument of the year.
