Outbound โ a cozy co-op sandbox about life on the road
Outbound is โcozyvivalโ: the Dutch studio Square Glade Games blended laid-back coziness with light survival. You live in a sunny near-future world where humanity coexists with nature and advanced tech, and your main home is an electric camper. You start with an empty van and slowly turn it into a real mobile home: bolt on modules, set up your living space, gather and process resources, grow plants and roam a lively open world. Here you buy the full base version of Outbound as a Steam gift โ our bot delivers it straight to your account.
What kind of game it is
At its core, Outbound is about sustainable off-grid living and modular vehicle building. The camper isn't just a car, it's a construction kit: solar panels, planter beds, a kitchen, sleeping spots, a workbench โ you decide what goes where. The world is split into four biomes that you travel between, exploring locations, collecting materials and completing objectives. The solarpunk aesthetic keeps everything warm and bright: this isn't a harsh survival grind about hunger and fear, but a calm adventure about building and the open road.
How the gameplay loop works
A day in Outbound is a calm loop of exploring, gathering and building. You roam locations, pick up resources and materials, return to your camper and put everything to use: repair and upgrade modules, cook food, tend your plants, charge batteries from the sun. The camper grows with you โ the further you go, the more self-sufficient and comfortable your home on wheels becomes. There's no race against the clock here: you set the pace, and the light survival layer (energy, supplies, resources) works as gentle motivation rather than punishment.
Solo or with friends
You can play Outbound solo, or gather a group โ co-op supports up to 4 players and unlocks after the tutorial. Teaming up makes it easy to split tasks: someone drives and scouts for resources while someone else crafts and expands the van. Each player needs their own copy of the game, so if you plan to road-trip together, grab a gift for everyone.
What's in the gift
This is the full base version of Outbound, not an add-on. You don't need any previously owned game: once you accept the gift, the whole of Outbound lands in your Steam library and stays yours forever, just like a normal Steam purchase. The game launched on PC and Xbox Series X|S on May 11, 2026, with PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch versions following on May 14, 2026 โ we deliver the Steam PC version.
How we deliver the Steam gift
The process is simple and needs almost nothing from you. In the order you enter your Steam friend invite link and your account region. After payment, our bot adds itself to your friends and sends the gift โ usually within a couple of minutes. You don't need to accept the friend request: the bot does everything itself and automatically leaves your friends list once delivery is done. All you do is accept the gift in Steam, and Outbound appears in your library.
Region and key conditions
The main condition is that your Steam account region must match the gift region, otherwise Steam simply won't let you accept it. So enter your real Steam region in the order field. The second condition is that Outbound must not already be in that account's library: Steam won't accept a gift for a game you already own. And friend requests must be allowed in your profile settings so the bot can find you. Steam Guard is not required โ the gift arrives without it.
If something goes wrong
Hiccups are rare, as with any service like this, and we try to resolve them quickly. The most common reasons the bot can't add you are disabled friend requests or an expired invite link. If the bot doesn't show up, check your profile settings and send a fresh link โ after that, delivery goes through.
Platform and where to play
We deliver the Steam PC version, so after activation Outbound runs through the Steam client on Windows. The game is built on the Unity engine and doesn't demand heavy AAA-grade hardware โ it's a bright, calm title rather than a graphics monster. The gift stays in your library forever, just like a regular Steam purchase: you can reinstall, update and launch it as much as you like. Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch versions exist separately โ here we're talking only about Steam on PC.
