Combat is turn-based but with a twist: emotions. Characters can be happy, sad or angry, and these states work like rock-paper-scissors, strengthening or weakening attacks and defence. Happiness raises crit chance, anger boosts damage, sadness increases defence while lowering something else. This is the base, full OMORI game for Steam (Windows and macOS) — no cut content, with all story routes and endings. The Steam version has no separate paid story DLC: all the core content is already in the game itself. Just note that the official soundtrack (OST) is a separate Steam item and is not included in the gift. The Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox versions were made by a different team and add extra content, but those are other platforms — here we're specifically talking about a Steam gift.
