Need for Speed™ Unbound — graffiti-style street racing
Need for Speed™ Unbound is an arcade racing game by British studio Criterion Games (the team behind Burnout and the legendary Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2012), published by Electronic Arts on December 2, 2022. It's set in the fictional metropolis of Lakeshore: by day you grind qualifiers for cash and reputation, by night you hit illegal races and outrun the police at full speed. Unbound's signature trick is its visual hybrid — photorealistic cars wrapped in hand-drawn anime-style effects. Wings, bursts, smoke and stars trail off your tires as if graffiti came alive in motion.

What the game is and why it's worth playing
Unbound is about style and risk. The campaign runs on a weekly cycle: you decide which races to enter, how much money to wager and how brazenly to taunt the cops. The longer you stay out at night, the higher the stakes — but a single bust can cost you a whole shift's earnings. That builds real "one more race or bank it" tension.
The gameplay leans on deep customization: hundreds of tuning parts, drift mechanics, dynamic on-road effects and your own driver avatar with clothing and accessories. There's both a single-player campaign and multiplayer with PvP races and cross-platform play. After launch the game received free and paid seasonal updates (Volumes) — a Hot Pursuit mode, drift and drag events, motorbikes and dozens of new cars.
Need for Speed Unbound editions: which to pick
The catalog has three flavors of the same game — pick by appetite:
- Standard Edition — the clean base game. Full campaign, multiplayer, the entire starting car roster and customization. The ideal entry if you just want to drive.
- Palace Edition — the base game plus a bonus pack from streetwear brand Palace Skateboards: 4 exclusive custom cars (Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series 2020, Volkswagen Golf GTI 1976, BMW M3 Evolution II E30 1988, Mercedes-AMG G 63 2017), branded driving effects, a 20-item clothing pack and exclusive decals with a license plate. It's a full edition — no need to buy the base separately.
- Ultimate Collection — the most complete edition. The base game plus all premium content released after launch: premium Speed Passes and Vol. 4–9 packs, including nine fully customizable cars, 45+ ready-made customs and hundreds of cosmetic items. If you want everything at once without buying packs piecemeal, this is your pick.
How the Steam gift is delivered
The mechanic is dead simple, but a couple of conditions matter:
- You provide your Steam friend invite link and your account region in the order fields.
- After payment our bot adds itself to your friends and sends the gift — usually within a couple of minutes. You don't need to accept any friend request; the bot does it all.
- You accept the gift in Steam and the game lands in your library. After delivery the bot removes itself from your friends automatically.
- Steam Guard is not required — the gift can be sent to an account without it.
