The Forbidden Lands and living weather

The action unfolds in a new region, the Forbidden Lands. The world here is seamless and genuinely alive: herds of herbivores migrate, predators hunt one another, and the weather constantly shifts. A calm lull gives way to raging storms — sandstorms, downpours, thunder — and with them the behaviour of monsters and the landscape itself changes. To cover this expanse quickly you have a mount companion, the Seikret, which follows the prey's trail on its own while you prepare for battle.

Weapons and combat

Monster Hunter Wilds has fourteen weapon classes, and each is effectively a separate playstyle. The heavy hammer caves in skulls, the long sword lives on the edge of counters, the bow and heavy bowgun keep their distance, and the insect glaive brings vertical acrobatics. A key new feature is the ability to carry two weapons at once and swap between them mid-fight to adapt to the phase of the battle. Mastering a single weapon is its own reward, and together they offer dozens and hundreds of hours of experimentation.

Co-op for up to four hunters

You can play solo — NPC companions back you up in tough fights. But the real joy of the series shines in co-op: up to 4 players corner a monster together, splitting roles and timings. The Link Party system and SOS flares let you jump into others' hunts and call in your own crew. Crossplay across PC, PlayStation and Xbox is supported, so you can team up with friends on any platform — everyone just needs their own copy.

Editions: Standard, Deluxe and Premium Deluxe

The main thing to understand: every edition contains the full base game, and the differences are purely cosmetic.

• Standard — the complete base game. All the story, all the monsters, all the co-op. Grab it if cosmetics are not a priority.
• Deluxe — base game plus the Deluxe Pack: a set of appearances, gestures, hairstyles and bonus items to make your hunter and camp look sharper.
• Premium Deluxe — the fullest option: the Deluxe Pack, premium bonuses and two extra cosmetic DLC packs. For those who love customisation and want it all at once.

No edition grants a combat advantage — there is no pay-to-win here, only looks. After launch the game receives free updates with new monsters, while major paid expansions are sold separately and are not part of these editions.

Russian and other languages

Localisation is solid: the interface and subtitles are translated into Russian, so menus, crafting and dialogue read comfortably. There is no Russian voice-over — characters speak English, Japanese or the signature Monster Hunter language — but all the text is in Russian.

How the gift delivery works
