MISERY is a rogue-lite survival game set in a radioactive wasteland that you don't have to brave alone — up to ten players share the same world. The Republic of Zaslavie, a sealed Exclusion Zone, abandoned military bases and research stations, anomaly fields, mutants and armed bandits — all of it is procedurally rebuilt every run, so no two raids feel the same. What you buy here is not an activation code but a Steam gift: the game lands straight in your Steam library and stays yours forever, like any game you'd buy on sale.

What the game is and why it hooks people

MISERY launched on 23 October 2025 from Platypus Entertainment (published by Ytopia). In short, it's about heading into the Zone for loot and making it back alive. You scavenge radioactive ruins, haul the loot to your bunker, build and expand your shelter, craft weapons and gear, trade with a hub merchant, then head back out. Between runs you watch hunger, thirst and radiation, while anomalies and the dark add that classic stalker paranoia. The headline feature is co-op: up to 10 players in one world, and the Zone feels completely different with a real teammate at your back instead of a bot.

How the Steam gift delivery works

We send you MISERY through our bot as a regular Steam Gift. Two things from you: your Steam profile friend invite link (the s.team/p/... kind) and your Steam account region. The bot then adds itself as a friend, sends the gift, and leaves once it's delivered — you don't accept any friend request by hand. Steam Guard is not required: the gift goes through even on an account without it. Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes after checkout, but we don't promise a hard timer — it's automation layered on top of Steam.

Two conditions or Steam won't accept the gift

• Your account region must match the gift region. Steam ties gifts to a region, and if your profile country differs from the lot's region, the system simply refuses it. So enter your real region at checkout.
• The game must not already be in your library. Steam won't let a second copy land on an account that already owns MISERY. If you want it on another account, give the invite link of that profile.

One more thing: your profile must allow friend requests, otherwise the bot can't reach you.

The gameplay loop: run — loot — bunker — upgrade

Every raid in MISERY follows a loop survival fans will recognise, but the Zone keeps wrecking your plans. You head out light, carefully skirt anomalies, gather loot from ruins and stashes, and keep an eye on your backpack weight and radiation dose. Found good loot? The trick is hauling it back to the bunker alive, because dying in the Zone sets your progress back hard. Back home, loot goes into building and expanding your shelter and crafting weapons, ammo, medkits and gear. Between runs you visit the hub merchant: sell some things, stock up on others for your next plan. The deeper you go, the deadlier the locations and the richer the reward — and the more a coordinated team matters.

Survival isn't just about monsters

MISERY pressures you from every side: hunger, thirst, radiation and your mental state. You have to watch these stats as closely as your ammo, or your character will crack at the worst possible moment. Night changes the rules — visibility drops and the Zone turns nastier. Anomalies reward attention and punish haste, while armed bandits remind you that the most dangerous predator here is another person. Procedural generation means the map is different every time, so there's no memorising a "safe route" — you have to actually read the situation.

Platform, Steam Deck and language

MISERY is a PC game for Steam on Windows. Once you accept the gift it behaves like any game you've bought: it installs through the Steam client, updates, tracks achievements and supports co-op with friends. Running it on Steam Deck or Linux depends on the current compatibility status and Proton — worth checking on the game's Steam page before buying, especially for an online co-op project early in its life. No third-party launchers are needed to play — just Steam.

Why a gift rather than a key

At launch MISERY doesn't ship the usual regional activation keys — it travels cleanly as a Steam gift instead. No digging through product activation, no VPN juggling: the gift arrives in your library, you hit Accept, and the game installs. It's the most direct way to get a copy on your main account with all progress, achievements and co-op sessions intact.
