Minecraft Dungeons: a dungeon-crawler in a blocky world
Minecraft Dungeons is a spin-off of the Minecraft universe, released by Mojang Studios in 2020. There's no crafting, mining or base-building here: instead of survival you get a pure dungeon-crawler in the spirit of Diablo, only in that familiar blocky style. You pick a hero, descend into dungeons, smash crowds of creepers, skeletons and zombies, grab loot and gradually turn into a level-clearing machine. Simple controls and four-player co-op make it a great entry point into the genre — especially if classic ARPGs ever felt too hard or too dry for you.

What the game is and why people love it
The gameplay revolves around three things: combat, loot and gear progression. Heroes have no rigid classes — your "build" is defined by what you wear: a melee sword or a bow, armor tuned for speed or for health, and artifacts that act as active abilities like summoning a wolf companion, dashing or dropping a healing totem. Every cleared level drops fresh loot, and the hunt for the best enchantment combos is what keeps you playing. The higher the difficulty, the fatter the rewards — the classic kill, collect, get stronger, dive deeper loop.
A special highlight is co-op for up to four players. Gather on one couch with controllers or invite friends online. The difficulty scales with the number of players, so four people doesn't make it trivial. This is a game that adults and kids both happily finish — the barrier to entry is low, while the skill ceiling on higher difficulties is genuinely there.
Editions: base game versus Ultimate Edition

- Base version (Minecraft Dungeons) — the entire main campaign: the core dungeons, base biomes and the final boss. A full game without the add-ons. A great pick if you want to play the core first and see whether it's for you.
- Ultimate Edition — the same game plus all six DLCs, bundled with the full soundtrack (200+ tracks) and digital artwork for each DLC. This is the maximum all-in-one version: every new region, weapon, artifact and boss is unlocked. If you want dozens of hours of content right away, get this one.
The six DLCs included in the Ultimate Edition were released across 2020–2021: Jungle Awakens, Creeping Winter, Howling Peaks, Flames of the Nether, Hidden Depths and Echoing Void. Each adds its own biome, new enemies, weapons and a final boss — these are full continuations of the adventure, not cosmetics.
The DLC bundle — who it's for
There's also a separate Ultimate DLC Bundle — the pack of all six add-ons without the base game. It is not a full copy of Minecraft Dungeons but an upgrade for people who already own the game on Steam. The logic is simple: if you once grabbed the base version and now want all the extra content at once, this pack is for you. If you don't own the game yet, the DLC bundle has nothing to run on — in that case get the Ultimate Edition, where everything is already inside.
How the Steam gift arrives
Delivery goes through our bot, and it needs two things from you: a Steam friend invite link and your account region.
